I just picked up a copy of GTA4 yesturday afternoon-for PS3

This game rocks!!

I have clocked 5 hours in so far, and its been great, terrific graphics, exquiste detail on the city, car and character models, and the lighting is first rate with changing day to night in scaled time. Overall it feels like a playing a Martin Scorcesse movie.

The plotlne has been really good so far and makes me want to continue and finish all 100 plus hours of game play

I will post a full review next week for y'all, I got to get back to playing LOL

That game sounds awesome, I will have to go buy it for my husband soon, he loves all the grand theft auto games.

I absolutely love this game. The graphics are the best yet, and tunes more to real life than the previous "cartoon" like games. The blood spray looks realistic, the rag doll physics are tuned perfectly to actual human body motions... I could go on but you should see it for yourself if you have not.

I heard everyone really likes it. Even if they don't typically play "those kinds of games." I wonder what makes this GTA so much different? Is it the environment?

i'm not into games so i'd never heard of this one til this weekend. my baby sis wasn't amused her 20yr old daughter let her 10 yr old daughter play it...apparently it's 18+?

anyways, my 10 yr old niece was raving on about it and it does sound wicked graphics-wise etc for somebody of the right age.

guess i best start learning about games so i know the right ones to buy my nieces now they're back in my life.

It's an AMAZING game... the story is great, and the characters are great, by far the best in the GTA series.

My brother has GTA4, and he loves it. I really, really, don't like it. But then again, it's not like I like the GTA series to begin with. But, if you DO like GTA games, then like everyone else has said here- it's awesome. Personaly, it's waaaay too violent for me. Oh sure, I like the occational violent game here or there- it really makes a game interesting, but to me personaly GTA is getting to be rediculous and kind of offensive.

And for the record, my favorite game series are Pokemon and Harvest Moon, Grand Theft Auto 4

Not every game is for every player. I always make the comparison to film. Some people like Pixar stuff, some like romantic comedies, others like crime dramas and still more like some of everything. So to each his or her own, but on its technical merits GTA4 is a superior game in the action genre. Would I let a kid play it? No way! In fact if I had kids I would not buy a copy or have it in my house.

GTA has always strived to bring the player a cinematic experiance, and with the enhanced harware of 360 and PS3 its getting closer than ever. The graphics, sound sourcing and direction give it a very action movie feel.

The car models are much crisper, the buildings are more detailed, its a very scarliy accurate recreation of New York right down to the Broklyn bridge and the Stature of liberty.

The physics and controls are pretty sweet and the weapons targeting is sharp. Also there are more Mini-games than ever.

The plot as with all of the GTAs is tight and very effective at intergrating the game play.

They've really improved on the graphics for sure.

I like the main character, he's more 'real' then all the previous GTA characters. I find myself actually interested in the plot, the story, and the characters when I play.

And Harvest Moon and Pokémon are fun games too Grand Theft Auto 4

My boyfriend got it last Friday and he and his brother have been playing it almost 24/7.

It must be pretty good since I admit I enjoy watching someone play it.

I'm not a big gamer myself, I mostly enjoy 30 minutes twice a month of (any) Pokemon on GBA.

I hope they have GTA4 for PSP anytime soon lol.
And I play Harvest Moon too! Pffft. Girls girls girls.

In my opinion, Final Fantasy and NFS for console gaming rocks ;]

I am afraid GTA4 cannot port to the current generation of PSP. It is simply too sophisticated graphically for the PSPs processer to handle. If there is a PSP2 it could port there asuming that PSP2 would have procesing and GPU abilities similar to 360 or PSP

NFS is hit of miss the Most Wanted on PS2 and Xbox along with Underground were pretty good arcade romps. I think though as arcade racers go the Burnout series crushes NFS for sheer fun. No racing game can match the GT series.
