Hmm, I think as I look in the rear view mirror.

Wonder what that black object bouncing across four lanes of traffic is, I ask myself.

Ah yes. A familiar sight. Great. There goes ten bucks.

I waved goodbye to yet another one of my many lost gas caps. Lost another one

ok now I feel better - I lost my gas cap last week and was feeling like a complete idiot. I'm going to buy a replacement after work tomorrow.

Thanks for making me feel better, but I'm sorry about your cap.

you know i see that happen alot people always forget to put them back on after they are done thats why you get one with a thing that attaches it to your vehicle it will make it harder to lose even if you dont put it back on it will just hang there

A lot of people must do that because I've seen a lot of gas caps on the side of the road.

Yikes! How unfortunate... I've managed to lose those tiny caps on my inner tube tires (for my wheelchair) and those are impossible to buy seperately... but I don't drive (yet) so I cant say I totally understand the lost gascap thing.

Mine's attached. But I did get gas today and heard a "thump" and knew I'd left the gas door open but wasn't sure I remembered putting the cap back on. My girlfriend noticed it was hanging around on its own outside the car by it's plastic thread when we came out of the store and were loading stuff into the trunk.

Ok, so I take my hubby's car to work today and on the way home I stopped to fill the tank. ($34.00 for a 1/2 a tank) Lost another one

Anyway, I fill it up and wait for my receipt and it reads Please See Cashier For Receipt. Lost another one If I wanted to see the cashier I would've hit the little button that said PAY INSIDE.

Anyway, lol, I was so mad I just got in the car and tried to remember $34.00 because I would forget for sure. FOR SURE.

As I'm repeating $34, $34, $34, this car behind me starts beeping his horn and I'm like "WHAT?" cuz I was mad, remember?

He yells out the window, "Your gas door is open and your gas cap is hanging out."

I thanked him, fixed it, hopped back in and drove off thinking they'll never believe this at PC. Lost another one
