I am so fair skinned, with almost invisible eyebrows, and I don't like to use an eyebrow pencil, so I ordered some "medium brown" eyebrow dye from Amazon.com, after reading the reviews. I followed the instructions for "light brown," only leaving the mixture on for one minute. They were near black, and boy did I look scary. I tried washing them repeatedly till my skin was sore, then leaving on an oily salve skin cream to hopefully weaken the dye...no effect. It was scary to look in the mirror. I rarely wear makeup or mascara in the summer, so there I was, the albino with black eyebrows! Today, I took one of those battery operated hair removal tools and shaved them off, just leaving stubble, which actually looks natural and like I looked before applying the dye!
I'll never do that again!

I've never done it myself. When I go to have my hair colored professionally, the stylist applies a bit of the color to my eyebrows, and vavoom... It doesn't last for long though- maybe 3-4 weeks.

I have had my brows professionally coloured when ever I have my hair coloured. I would recommend you seek out a professional to correct the problem.

you know, there are nice eyebrow kits out there today so you dom't have to deal with dyes, etc.

they usually have a wax and a powder, and the brushes that apply both.

some have a mascara wand with fibers on it in a color to match your brows.

some have an applicator of wax and a brow outliner to hold up to the brow while filling them in and then you powder over that.

all of them work, so find the one that works for you.

make sure you go for a taupe/blonde color if you are naturally that coloring, or even un-naturally that coloring.

best to your new eyebrows!

try bare escentials, philosophy, or a number of other kits - go to
www.sephora.com and have a look around.

peace and brows!

Helpme, and Nightbird....Thanks for the suggestions! I did find some eyebrow powder, light brown, with a brush applicator, and it works much better than the blond pencil I had tried to use! I have eyebrow "stubble" right now as they grow out, and the hairs are blond and invisible, so this really helps!
Thanks again for the helpful suggestions!
