Sure Raynaadi! Glad to!!

It is an ice carousel, set in the backdrop of the woods, a beautiful sunlit woods...The animals on the carousel seem to appear to be Winnie the Pooh characters!!

I had a bad week IRL yet I wish in my heart to believe everything in Cherry is pleasant, and yes, we are enjoying Sparrow coffee, in recliners, watching pool..

how are those young punks/talented musicians and what are they up to? We could use a little drama, liven Cherry up a bit...

OH THAT SOUNDS LOVELY.

I'VE HAD A ROUGH WEEK TOO. I HAVEN'T LEFT THE RECLINER HERE ALL DAY. GIMMEICE HAD SOME PRETTY SWEET TRICK SHOTS.

Oopsss hahahaha I forgot I had caps lock on. I was wondering why Levi's voice was all high pitched. When he says capital letters its in a higher pitch. Too funny.

Ok back to pool hall commentary. Muffy got a spiffy new pool kue and did some crazy bank schots. I fell asleep with the coffee and spilled it. Luckily it was an iced mocha. The hot goal ball coach stopped by and flirted with me. What did we name him again? The cat was playing with the roller ball on my cane. She's big and pregnant now. Kittens soon. Minime came in and asked whats happening to her town. The few of us in the pool hall said its been a lazy few weeks. The zamboni is fixed and taking a rest out by the ice rink. I heard some people sat on the ice carosel and literally froze their butts off. Blue opened an old dusty book on the third floor of the bookstore and a bookworm popped out and said hello. A house elf came and put it in his pocket. Junerain walked about the town making sure our youth are happy. All the while I sat in my recliner slowly starting to feel better, while also feeling very sad at our recent loss. I'm marveling at the strenth of our town and our online community, coming together to help a friend. A tear slides down my cheeck, both in sadness and in gratitude for this wonderful place. Cherry/PC. My home.

I think we named the goal ball coach Scott, I cant remember his big muscles distract me and made me forget his name. LOL It is indeed a sad day in Cherry but we are all there to help each other through this difficult time. I think I will pull up a recliner and sit around the pool hall the rest of the evening, I am sure I will be in good company.

I hooked up cable tv near the recliners. I think I'll have House on tonight. Actually they haven't been running that show as much on Fridays. Maybe we should put on a comedy show. Whats that one with the rednecks? Cable Guy and Ron White? Hmmm, they may be too vulgar. Maybe a fun eighties teen movie like The Breakfast Club. Oooooooh The Neverending Story!

Never saw that one. My friend and I were talking about eighties movies the other day. I said, "They don't make em like they used to." And then I felt old lol.

Oh June, at the very end of your last post you wrote something that sounds to me like oh woo. I can never picture what people are typing. Can you type it out with dashes in between the letters?

Were you around when someone said lol made them think of a touchdown? I remember that, don't remember who said it. All the abbreviations sound really funny when Levi says it. Turns out Java doesn't support screenreaders so I'm S.O.L. If only it wasn't java, I could chat. Apparently I can skype, but I've never done that. I wish I could get on yahoo. I haven't figured out if it works. The yahoo for the web doesn't work, so I downloaded it but can't figure out how to open it. I'm new to Mac so not being able to see it is hard. I practiced some stuff though, in a thread I started in Feedback and Technical. If only I could chat, I might beable to be a mod again but chat is kinda a requirement huh. Oh well.

I spent the morning wandering through town.....this is the first time I saw our town & decided it would be a great place to settle onto the farm that in on the road entering town.

I noticed there is no veteranarian.....we desperately need one to keep our non-human babies well. Of course, all vet services are free.......so no one will bypass needed care for their babies......just call me Dr DoLittle. Yes, I talk to the animals & they talk to me.

So there is now WyndSong Farm with a vet taking care of all the health needs. There is also a wonderful barn & arena where the equine therapy can be handled....especially when we aren't having "perfect" weather for the outside therpy. Barn is huge, so it can house in perfect conditions all the horses. Of course, there are the cows & goats so we can always have fresh milk.

Perfect area for the community garden......have the plow & tiller, to get ground ready so everyone can plant their favorite summer & fall gardens. Of course, there will be enough for all....even those who aren't able to do any planting.......we care for all. There is a beautiful gazebo right next to the garden for socializing & resting when the muscles need a break from the work......always tea (sweet & plain) & baked goods there for munching on. Baked goodies for the shutins & sick to keep their energy up with care baskets & short visit to see how they are doing is also important......so I will use my baking talents to help others feel cared for.

Through the woods, there are miles of trails for riding/hiking through the trees, pastures & ponds.

First thing I will do after moving in is to visit the Church where September Morn is & start going to the studys they are providing.....that is my priority for getting settled in. Will offer my music talent to start & direct a choir there.

Also, will be gathering all people who play musical instruments to put together a small community orchestra/chamber group. Summer concerts under the gazebo are the perfect relaxation for the weekely evening concerts. Hopefully I will be able to find & afford a flute by then.....never was able to replace my flute that was stolen out of my truck......really miss the music in my life. It will be a pleasure working with music even if I don't have a way to perform myself.

What a wonderful community you have all started...looking forward to being an active member of "OUR TOWN".

Debbie

I'll make sure I have more sweet made up by the gallons & just enough of the non-sweet tea for those of us who haven't quite acquired a taste for it yet....lol.

Will be looking forward to those rides through the woods with the community....there will be enough horses available in the barn for everyone that wants to ride. You all will me helping me keep the horses in good condition by riding with me....lol. Can't have a bunch of overweight horses standing around the barn...lol.

Looking forward to sitting around & chatting under the gazebo in the warm afternoon sun......definitly sounds good after going through the ice storm 2 weeks ago.....just thinking about that warms me up.

Debbie

This weather had definitely been crazy lately.....after recovering power last week after the ice storm from the previous week, I just got a weather warning thatwe are expetcing strong winds that will blow down all the rest of the broken branches from the ice storm....planing on having the electric out again as the power lines go down.

We definitely need underground power for our town.....maybe some good city planners in the beginning so we have all our utilities protected from the weather
elements.

Oh good idea. We definitely have underground power lines as well as solar panels on every rooftop. Everyone has an electric car they charge from the solar panels. Though in Cherry we don't really need cars eh? We can ride the horses to get around. Horses will be much safer for me and any other blind people who might visit, since electric cars are silent and very dangerous.

Maybe when I'm not at the pool hall I'll ride a horse around dispensing coffee and sweet tea tee hee. Can horses be guide horses Eskie? I mean, are they good with blind riders? There's something here in Tucson I just found out about. Its horse therapy for people with disabilities. I've only ever ridden a horse once, when I could see. I'd be scared to do it blind. I forget the name of the program....it had a witty horse related name.

I am not sure how well horses work with blind riders.....thinking it would be ok but not out in the woods.....from my horse experience, they are only good for going through a space large enough for themselves...not thinking about someone on their back....I landed on the ground knocked off by a huge branch one time on a trail ride....I didn't duck quick enough.....it was a huge 12" branch that got me....I wasn't paying attention either.

Actually, I have been the seeing eyes for my older horse who is going blind. We were trail riding another time & he tripped over a small mound of dirt.....he went down, gashing his leg 6" x 2". I landed on my head (had my helmet on thank goodness)....knocked out for a few seconds.....ouch.....I usually guide him around things like that & just was side tracked at the moment talkng with the others around me.

I think in a safe environment however, horses could be wonderful therapy with the blind..know it would sure be great for building up confidence.....I know riding with ones eyes shut is a good way to really get the feel of what the horse is doing & that is how all good dressage riders ride is by the feel of the horses body under them.

You can actually guide the gaits of your horse just with your seat & leg contact....the reins aren't really for much of anythig except for some guiding them.

I think we should be a town with horses & buggies.....thinking the amish do have some good concepts.....I do enjoy my truck.....but think horse & buggy would be much more fun.

I could go for the horse and buggy thing but I still may ride my zamboni around from time to time. Could another rider guide a horse for a blind rider? I think that would be nice so everyone can enjoy the rides through the woods, I can even volunteer once I get a little better on a horse myself.

Oh yes, we can definitely guide another horse with a rope .....while we are riding. I have ponied my filly a long time on the trails before she was in training, so it is possible. Building up my confidence for doing that along with having a good sensitive & gentil horse. We have the gentle horses here that are being used for equine therapy, so we should be ready to go on the trail......painting a picture of what we see in words along with the wonderful smells enountered along the trails will be an exciting experience for us all.
