I would sit at the piano...practicing the lesson I had to practice....emphasis on HAD......he would sit at the other end of the room under the dining room table until just the right minute....run across the front room & attack my legs.....maybe it was my playing he didn't like (I'm sure of that)
I can't make fun of anyone elses music abilty or lack there of.
Alot of people in my family are musically gifted...my mom even turned down a contract that she won to join the Grand Ol' Opry when she was like 13 because she was too scared to leave home...
Then she runs off with a 28 year old man a year later to Ark. & marries him

Me though...I'm tone deaf when I lip sync

Other times we would play chase.....I would chase him around the house.....he would chase me up a chair.
BC use to have a 5 foot long Iguana that would chase me up on the kitchen table

Leo finally got the cat off his back & took off for safe ground.....he never did go back in that room as long as the cat was at the ranch....& everytime he saw the cat.....he ran away....what a bully cat.....what a chicken dog.....before that....
My Siberian I use to have...which is in my gallery nearly got killed by a squirrell...It bit a hole in his snout so deep he lost a tooth....really bad infection...that close to his brain was scarey...It didn't heal for months.

I use to work as a welder out of some families barn that built bird cages....they had an attack chicken. He would constantly peck at my legs & ankles...

When I left that job I strongly considered welding his beek shut

Geez Im glad im on oz - attack chickens? feral squirrels? cats that chase lions onto chairs (yes I know it was the dog - of course it was!)

at least over here you know if it moves it either bites scratches or wants to chew your leg off

I had a huntsman spider on my windscreen the other day - I was doing 90kph and the damn thing just walked across the windscreen like I was not moving -

then it opened the door and got in and asked to drive lol - it still has the car - wonder when i'll get it back

All the kids & pets were accounted for so that was my MD present! He didn't loose anyone & no one had bunny stew (Trixies very thankful for that) I have a good mutt...er LK....He did very good with a VERY busy week. I am very proud of him ~puffs out chest~

Glad everything went well for the ending of the story......Glad you BC had a safe trip & a good Mothers day.....I agree....when the family can accomplish existing without you & not make you feel guilty for going when you arrive home.....that's the best MD present of all.

We definitely had to enjoy the encounters......I am sure you enjoyed reading what went on while you were gone.....I'm sure it was a plesant surprise to find the house NOT destroyed......we never would have allowed LK to actually make bunny stew.....too many bunny lovers here.

I was busy toward the end of the excitement, & didn't get a chance to read the final posts until just now.

I just have to share an experience similar to this:

I use to work as a welder out of some families barn that built bird cages....they had an attack chicken. He would constantly peck at my legs & ankles...

My experience was with a rooster....Now....I lived in the huge city of Los Angeles while growing up....City...no country even in the suburbs.....so I was walking to junior high one day.....I noticed a rooster that was outside of the yard on the parkway next to where I had to walk. I remember always being told that if you ignore a animal, it will leave you alone.....so being the intelligent person who always does what they have been told (at least sometime in their deep dark past)...I walked bravely right past the rooster. Two seconde later....I felt this ripping right down the sides of my leg. There was the rooster....claws wrapped around my leg. I guess he let go when he got to the bottom of my leg.....I ran a little ways ahead & turned around. The stupid rooster came charging at me again....this time right at the front of my leg....I took my leg & punted him as far as I could kick....guess it was a good thing that I had been one of the grade school kickball stars cause it sure came in handy.....that rooster flew backward through the air & skidded on his chest for another 10 feet. I took off at a run for school while the rooster was still trying to figure out what happened. I should have headed for home not school, but I was on the school side of the rooster & wasn't about go anywhere close to him again. Besides, I didn't want to be late for school because of a rooster....who would believe that escuse anyway in the school office....even with the scratches down my leg.....anyway...my Mom didn't drive & I didn't want to walk to school really late either....so I just washed up my leg when I got to school.

Think I would have done more than weld this guys beak together....I think this rooster would have only been safe killed & stuffed.

We also enjoyed following LK through his exciting time....think it was more fun for us.

OMG Yes Eskie, I laughed hystarically while reading Lk's exploits...this is the first time's had to be a daddy to all 4 at once while I have been away. Usually I have a few with me. Last time I went I took 3 outta 4....We try to go to ARK 2-3x's a year (my mom & I) and this time my middle sister (I'm 34, she's 25 & we have a 16 yr old sister too) went and we took her nice new car so there wasn't extra room. Could have taken one but how to choose............
Trixie is very thankful for the bunny lovers but I'll let you in on a little secret......Never seen such a big cat snuggle with a little bunny so much. He really likes her, he's the reason we have her remember and this is the first animal he hasn't b!tched about.........he's an ol' softy even if he trys to portray otherwise.

Not many wives get a blow by blow view of what went on while they are gone.......what a blast to come back to......That in itself had to be an interesting Mothers day present....

Quite a challange being parents to 4....I am sure you couldn't have chosen one to go with you without making the others feel bad....so this was the best & most entertaining solution.

I can't imaging how single parents do it really....I struggled enough with only one.

Sounds like it was a wonderful trip & to just get away.....guess it's LK's get away the next time?

Welcome back to the normal life again....whatever normal is????

I always play the daddy role...the addition of the mommy role is what drove me batsh%t crazy

Could have taken one but how to choose............
& the time before that I had 3 of them but the twins could be confined to a crib then....I didn't know what to do with myself then either & I didn't have the awesome outlet of PC...so I ripped up all the carpeting in the house...THE HOUSE WAS ALL CARPET!!!& put tiles down in the bathroom & upstairs....
I'm glad she didn't expect that this time
