I made a post in this forum about this time of year being hard for me. well this morning, I am crying and not sure if it will stop soon. I posted about my friend that died in a car wreck 7 years ago.. I am good friends with her sister and I knew that her sister was pregnant.. I went on line today and She had her baby! This baby is soo beautiful!!! she was born on the 10th, the more I looked at her, the sadder I became.. She looks just like Kerri!!!! Beautiful brown eyes and brown hair!!!! I started crying. I called my mom and trying to tell her about it and i couldn't hardly even talk.. My mom was like you cant look at it like a sad thing.. It is a positive thing, I know in my heart that this is true... BUT IT HURTS!!!! It hurts that Kerri was taken so young, that this child will never get to know what a wonderful person she was. I am happy for my friend no doubt! It is kind of a bitter sweet thing you know... I also know that this child and her two little cousins that Kerri never got to meet, have a wonderful guardian angel watching over them!!!!

Your mom wasn't accepting in regards to your feelings. I'm sorry that happened. No one can tell you how you ought to feel. Even you, you should not question how you feel. There is no such thing as a wrong feeling.

Mourning a loss is different for every person. Your response to the birth was another facet of your caring for your friend. Bittersweet, it is.

Hugs,
Lar
