It's been over a year now that I've requested replacement medals from my father's Marine Corps career (he had many over his 20 yrs there, including 4 or 5 from Vietnam alone).

They said it would be months. I called several months back and they did have the request and said it might be up to a year. It's the last string "hanging loose" and I would like to have them. Over a year and no medals still...

My father was ALOT of things...good and bad...one undisputed fact is that he was a FINE marine through and through.

I miss him today...

can you write to your Senator, see if they can help you get the medals, plus send a letter to the Marine Chaplin

Good luck! It sounds like a big thing that might take awhile, they are medals for big things not just a outfit of Ebay! Over a year and no medals still...
