Iraq Body Count?

Does anyone know the present body count in Iraq? Why has nobody posted about that I wonder?

the body count is changing too rapidly to monitor, down...what i want to make clear..I Support American Troops...but i'm having trouble with the "why they're there part"...it's heartbreaking...grace

Iraq Body Count?

I think our government just wanted to be a big bully and prove we had the "muscle" to do something about it, but now there is no point to it. They need to redirect their energies on their own hurt and suffering right in their own front yard. M'kay, I'm done. Iraq Body Count?

Hi Silver,

Those numbers look way low for Iraq's, and the US and other invading and occupying soldier deaths were already at least 1350 US dead a month ago. Who knows what the Iraq soldier and citizen count is, I read over 100,000. I just find it very disturbing that there isn't an ongoing readily available and prominently publicized tally, in this criminal enterprise. That more people aren't yelling for it is an outrage and dispiriting disappointment to me.

My new avatar is a reduced picture of some original art posted on an artist website, I forget the name now, but the original is probably available from the artist if you feel like investing.

What makes it even more pathetic is the man in charge of this war got out of having to go to war back when his time came to do so.

That is the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States. It might do our President some good to read what our founding fathers had in mind for our "great nation"

There is no way out. The body count will rise. Even Bush Senior knew what the consequences would be. His own son didn't listen.

i think what bugged me the most was the lack of regard for the opinions of other countries..as if all those other leaders didn't have a brain in their heads..and he was the only one whose imperative mattered...the arrogance really bothered me...grace

everytime i hear of someone else dying in Iraq, i grieve for their families, their home towns, their state and our country. when i hear of Iraqis dying, i grieve the same way. it breaks my heart to see people dying in this war. the count on soldiers broke 1500 this week. that's 1500 families that i pray for.....pat

I know that when I watch World News Tonight, They have an American Soldier body count every evening. It reminds my husband of Vietnam.

I support the men and women in Iraq, but I do not support the war. Someone is making money off this war, and it certainly is not me. I am losing money.

i find it terribly moving that a new art exhibit has over 1300 portraits of the dead in Iraq and Afghanistan (sp)...it is done very well and it is very powerful. i saw it twice today on the t.v.

The system is broke, it needs replaced, or a major restructuring from outside the group think of those who hold power. They are piloting us towards near or actual extinction, with delusional thinking instead of wisely applied science.
The complicity of those who fail to stand up and debunk delusional propaganda leads to bloodshed of many types.

It's incredibly sad to read of lost lives...incredibly. I won't state my views on the war...not here.

Let's please continue to recognize those who have lost, but keep the polical tone out of it if we can.

I for one remember seeing the daily body counts on tv from vietnam. I find it very disturbing. yes our prez put us there..it is high time he brings our people home. they have their own government now that should be able to handle their own stuff.

War is never easy. Maintaining a balance in the Middle East has been a task of every president for many decades. It's bigger than most realize, imo.

I much rather have our soldiers fighting in other countries, than be battling the evil on our own turf. (Which might be something we don't do well?)

It is horrible when anyone dies. However, lets please leave the politics out of it. I will gladly agree talking about grief and how we can help each other, but we cannot use this as a political site. Thanks for all your help, and continue to speak about grief in any issue, but lets not close others out by using politics as part of the platform.
