I Give Up...Girl Problems :) - Quite long

I seem to have forgotten where I planted my money tree. Medical bills piling up. Every time I go to the doctor, I have $400 in blood tests ordered. Who is gonna pay for that? I Give Up...Girl Problems :) - Quite long

Maybe the patient assistance acceptance letter will come tomorrow. I Give Up...Girl Problems :) - Quite long

Went to Planned Parenthood today to see if I could get my last 3 packs of pills. They wouldn't give them to me last time because my blood pressure was too high. Now that I am on BP meds, it was 120/80. Felt a little fun fibbing to the chickie.

Nurse: (smiling politely) "You haven't drank your normal 15 cups of coffee today have you?"

Me: Uh, don't drink coffee, but no.

Nurse: "Oh good then this bp rate should be ok. You've been without pills for a month because of this right?"

Me: (stifling a grin, thinking about the 3 pills a day I am currently taking, and hoping said pills are still hidden in my purse) Yeah...(trying to look sad)

At least I got my pills cheaper. $30 every 5-7 days is killing me. The pharmacist suggested two other medicines that would cost me $10 a MONTH instead of the $150 its costing me now and do the same thing. Going to talk to the doc about them when I go in...as well as a D&C. I can't keep taking the amount of Advil I am taking each day either. Heck, I might as well bury myself in the medical bills. Hi 1Day,
I have polycystic ovary syndrome too - and if there is anything I can do to help...answer any questions, etc....let me know. I used to have terrible trouble with my periods but they are under good control now. I take glucophage (metformin) twice a day. It is a drug that is normally used for people who have diabetes, but it can help for people who have PCOS. It helped me get my periods under control. I don't take birth control pills. In my case, I can't take them....I just take the glucophage. I also lost a lot of weight (100 lbs). I was very overweight a few years ago, and I think losing weight helped too. But it's a catch-22 sort of thing, because PCOS can predispose people to gain weight, and then again, it can make the menstrual problems even worse, I think, if you are overweight when you have PCOS. Going on a diet that focuses on whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and lean meats can help too, whether you are overweight or not. It took me awhile to become convinced of this, but it has sure been true in my case. Again, if you have any questions or I can be of help, let me know.

Take care,
ErinBear
