Hoping some one has a child with similar situation. My son at age 8 BGRATE was 10 1/2 yrs diagnosed with precocious puberty ,started Lupron . 2 months Later we moved he started seeing ped Endo whom after ACTH stim test again, said he has non classical 3beta CAH and his bones are 12 1/2yrs . Put him on cortef for 9 months he gained 25lbs because they had to keep increasing because the androgens would not go down. We were up to 20mg a day. I took him to N.Y. saw Dr. and she did DNA (HE DOESNT HAVE CAH). We agreed with our Dr. here to take him off, again his diagnoses is now change to premature andrenache.

I have read alot and every aritcle I have read states with premature adrenarche there is no advancement in BGR.

My son now has been off the Cortef one year. He just turned 11yrs and his appt last week showed his bones to be 14yrs old. HE IS NOT SHOWING ANY SIGNS OF STARTING PUBERTY by the measurements of the testes. He does have the pubic hair from the over flow of DHEA.

Our Dr. said she is going to meet with her colleges to see she is puzzled by my sons condition. If anyone knows or can suggest anything please advise. Thanks!!!!!Growth hormones before the bones fuse? Aromatase Inhibitors to stop bones from growing ? WHAT SHOULD WE DO????????

i did not want you to think that your post was being ignored..i suspect from the lack of response that none of us members here are familiar with your problem with your son......perhaps a medical site would be of more help....good luck
