being bulimic yeah i think i would have tooth problems but still very nervous..

my tooth is the bottom eye tooth. very sharp since i filed it and very sore. Its not the tooth but the gum around it. Its swollen, the tooth is loose, sensitive like when u loose a tooth and u feel the gum area were the tooth was, yeah same feeling. The gum bleeds when brushed (whats new). Ok this started when i got a apple skin stuck inbetween and i was picking inbetween the eye tooth and the front tooth (you know the tooth next to ur two bottom teeth that are right below two front buck teeth) well i got the peel out but its been tender. I thought it would go away by now but it has been a week now. My gum is swollen and feels weird. I have no dental insurance and the dentist in the family lives 2 hrs from me and i have no money to go to her cause gas prices are so high.

Any one have this problem before, and what should i do for my tooth? i hate to loose it.

BD, hate to say this, but it is possible the gum is or may become infected, in which case you will have worse problems than just loosing the tooth.

Try any way you can to get to the dentist. Can someone else drive you? Can someone offer some gas money, one of the people you are always picking up?

Good luck, try to do what you can.

I think this is beyond self help. You need a dentist.

(last November I was eating a bagel and heard a crack. I lost the same tooth you're talking about. Granted, it was a baby tooth that never fell out, but I'm still missing the tooth now and it's been a real self esteem killer. Like I have $3000 to get a bridge put in. Pfffft. Yeah right).

Get yourself to the dentist while there's still time for some $5 antibiotics to take care of it. Most dentists let you pay over a period of 90 days too.

Well i called my cuz who is a dentist and asked her about it. She told me to keep brushing it and use alot of mouth wash and floss and it will get better. Well last nite i did what she said. And guess what. Appariently i did not get all the apple peel out of my gum area. I looked at it after brushing it and saw something gray inbetween the two teeth. So i got a tooth pick and picked it out. It was an apple peel that was stuck in there. Its been there for a week.

Today its alot better its still red and tender but not swollen. My tooth is not as loose as it was yesterday. Man a apple peel stuck in my gums for a week. Thats a first.

Thanks for the advice ya guys. My cuz is comming up soon and i will have her look at it then.
