I've noticed for the past few days that things in my left ear sound different. It's not a muffled noise, but it is hard to describe. I can hear my breathing in that ear and when I talk I sound muffled and weird, though I don't know if I am actually talking that way. My hearing itself is fine though, I'm not experiencing any hearing loss as far as I'm aware.

This will probably clear itself completely soon, since it has an annoying habit of doing that as soon as I post here Ear problem but if not, I'm thinking of going to the dr about it tomorrow.

SQ,

Sounds like you might have some fluid in that ear. I think your decision to go see the doctor, if it hasn't cleared up by today is a good one.

I have had the same thing since childhood. My mother as well. It is quite annoying!!! Going to the Doc. is a good idea. I have just always blown it off..because it eventually goes away. Take care! Ear problem

lol, if it clears up every time you post here then I say, post away!!!!!!! Ear problem that's so strange though... have you been to the doctor yet? could it just be ear wax? I've had that before, and it feels like something is "moving" in there.....strange. sometimes you do have to get that cleared up... but either way, if it bugs you and isn't always like this, it's worth getting it checked up on...

Yup it sounds like fluid or extra wax to me. If it become painful, or your balance it off, it is probably an ear infection. I get this at this time of the year. Sometime it is due to allergies. Do you have a real tree in your house? Sometimes that triggers allergies. My doctor has me on antihismines and decongestants all winter long becaue of this. Good luck! Ear problem
