Ever since this thing has started up, I don't eat as much, and when I am hungry and go get something to eat, all of a sudden I don't feel like eating anymore. Also when I'm hungry, I'll drink first, and that fills me up, or a small cup of something to drink, and about 3 ot 5 bites of something and I'm full. I don't eat like I used to, and when I try to eat like I use to, I get sick because I ate to much. Is this a problem?

I have the same kind of thing too. I dunno if it's a eating disorder thing. But I don't want to eat anything. Food seems so tastless. Lost my eating patterns ages ago. At school never eat anything but air nor drink. In the morning I sometimes have a quick bite to eat. Home I have something like a small meal or nothing like an apple. I drink more milk than water. I never fill full but when I eat I suddenly feel sick but can't be. I like my size but I worry about it changing. When I was depressed I put on half a pound. Now I have lost it but I still think food doesn't matter to meal. Normally I have 1 meal a day or less depends... But it is a problem that your not eating enough but I can't say that because I'm kind of doing the same thing. At least keep eating somethin everyday. You don't want to lose eating anything but air at all patern. Really hurts you tummy and your head feels weird and your body is dizzy.

Do you mean I just can't eat a lot like I want to phsically or mentally. Like someone makes you a main meal, there's a lot on your plate. Do you take one look at it decide you can't eat it all or do you eat the as much as you can but really feel sick afterwards? Just whatever you do don't lose your eating. Food is important to keep us going and moving our bodys.

I can't eat mentally, like my stomache cries for food in other words, and I go to get something to eat, and all of a sudden, I change my mind, and at the main meal thing, I take the food, and I stare at it hungry, but then loose interests in it, I do force myself to eat sometimes, and other times I just eat what I can till I feel sick.

Unfortanally I know little about eating disorders. It could be a lack of food disorder. Do you find it an emotional way of coping with pain by not eating so...? Are you happy with your body? Sorry for asking you so many questions, just that its important to know what the key points of not eating properly...

(I'm listen by the way...)

Ever since what started? If you mean something like a depressive episode, than this could certainly be related to that, but the short answer to your original question -- is this a problem? -- is yes.

Yes, it's a problem, because you need to be able to eat a normal amount in order to function. Yes, because you need adequate fuel. Yes, because it sounds as though you've definitely got a disordered eating pattern going.

And, most importantly, yes -- because if it's worrying you enough to post about it, then it's a problem for you.

Do you know what triggered this in the first place? Can you identify any of the thoughts or feelings that you experience when you sit down in front of food?

ever since of me being really depressed for about 3 months or so, this eating thing started a little after, and to answer your questions, I do like my body, and the first question is I think so. But I hate it. I'm just not hungry when I am in other words, or I force my self to eat and then feel bloated, and lastly, I'll be hungry and eat, but not eat enough, like I use to.

Thinking it is an eating problem not specifically the disorder. When I get stressed or exhausted...it effects my ability to eat...causing nausea & swollowing problems. The first time I delt with anorexia...it was a reaction to the meds I was on...no one put the two together & it was just easier for them to peg it as anorexia & ship me to an ED treatment center.....I was in & out of the medical hospital for about a year after that....everytime I passed out...I was put into the hospital with a central line for nutrition.....being 5'2" at 85 lbs just isn't healthy. This time....there was a major trauma in my life along with my mothers death. The exhaustion & stress was more than my low weight at the time could handle & the weight loss, anemia, & mal nutrition hit again even though I was only 95 at the time. Again came the central line & IV nutrition through it. For the life of me...I don't know why anyone would want be in this place....there isn't anything pleasant about it.

So just remember....It is worth making yourself eat a little more each time until you get back into a stable eating pattern....don't continue practicing the bad habbits...it really isn't worth it in the long run.

That's why I try and buy/keep instant stuff (only shop for dogfood usually... but grab what I can for myself...another issue for me) I like the fat free pudding packs... or saltines or something... quick.

oh, I understand that, but my parents do the shopping, and when they sk what I want, I say usually say nothing, or say what I want if I want anything at the time.
