I got about 4 hours of broken sleep, going to sleep at 130 am and have been up since 530 in pain, woke up every hour at least in pain and its getting worse. Its embarrasing but i desperate at this point, it hurts like crazy. I tried ice but that made me hurt even worse and baby powder isnt helping. I dont have and medicated things and asking my fiance to take me to the store (i dont have a license) is my last resort, id rather not tell him.

Any advice to help the pain? Its pretty intense...

It's time to see the Doctor.........there definately should not be that much pain. usually there is itching and problems when you go but I have myself not heard of on-going pain. Please make an appointment with the Doctor today. I am sure your fiance will go with you!

Thank you for your response. I tried taking a warm bath (at 630 am) but it didnt really help so i woke my fiance up asking him to take me to the store. Told him it was for cramp medicine. Got prep h extra strong cream. He just left to work so at 8 i jumped in the bath again for 15 minutes, put on the prep h and am hoping it will work soon, im going to try to go to sleep but...

I dont know if its related, maybe tensing so much from pain last night but my butt itself is hurting now too, and the pain seems to be moving up to my hips. If this prep h doesnt work i might have to call in to work tonight and go to the doctor, the pain has just been getting worse

what do you usually take for pain? ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory, I find it reduces that throbbing pain feeling. take orally!

Sounds like you need to see an MD / proctologist. what is your diet like? with this problem you need to drink a lot of water and eat high fiber foods like oatmeal, beans, whole grain breads, etc. you want to avoid foods that could add to the problem including spicey foods (yup, they're spicey when they leave the body too) and foods with no fiber that cause constipation.

It sounds like the problem may not be hemorroids at all but a rectal yeast infection. Or, it could be a combination of both. Please note that if it's a yeast infection that any ointment will just make it worse. The area will need to be kept as dry as possible and that will mean wearing panties that are loose and of a fabric that does not keep moisture in. In fact, you may want to do away with tight panties for a few days and see if that helps. If it's a yeast infection, do not wash the area with anything but water as soap will kill the good bacteria needed to return the area to normal. Still, I think it's best to see an MD and get a proper diagnosis. All the best to you.

thank you botgh, i was able to get a couple of hours of sleep, but every now and then it would tense up and cause extreme pain that would wake me up ghasping. This morning on a 1-10 scale it was like a 9, now its like 8. Slightly better but not much.

I havent had a problem like this since i had my daughter 4 years ago. But it hurts just as bad as it did then. Reminds me why im waiting to have another child. I was on the mirena for about 18 months (its an iud) and when i got off of it two months ago it really messed up my schedule. Instead of daily its been every 3 or 4 days and difficult. I could tell yesterday when i went to the bathroon it was going to happen, but didnt think it would get worse throughout the night.

Im trying to figure out how to get to the doc, no car or license and since we have to drive 14 hours to pick up my daugHter on sunday we are really strapped for money. But im going to try to figure it out, this pain is terrible

Are you having any bleeding? Can you feel them? (I know--not the most exciting thing to try to do.) There are internal and external ones. I've had both. So, you can get internal suppositories as well as external cream.

Yeah, diet is important. You need to have loose enough bowels, so you don't have to strain when going to the bathroom. So, a stool softener can help, especially if they are internal. I've had really painful ones, too. And bad external ones after delivering my first baby. (The second one was done by c-section, so at least I didn't have to worry about them after his delivery.)

I don't know about yeast infections related to them. But if these tactics don't work, then that could be the cause.

Good luck! Talk about pains in the posterior......Groan.

It is external, not to be graphic but its like the size of one of the large grapes. I havent tried and ibuphrophrin or anything as im trying to be as natural as possible so ive kind of sworn off meds, so imagine my fiances shock when i said i wanted to go get medicine.

How long does it last? With my daughter it was like a week of severe pain but they had me on percocet which caused severe constipation and of course horrific hemorrhoids. Im limited on what i can eat being lactose intollerant and having celiacs, and with my desire to be med free, any tips non medication to help? Do they have gluten free fiber wafers or something?mm

My grandmother used to feed me ex lax every day because i wouldnt go every day (but only did this in the su

Can you eat brown rice? Lentils? Beans? Are you sure it's not a cyst?

Oh gosh, it's really bad and I'm at work for the next 4 hours, I don't know what to do, it's taking all I've got not to cry right now. Any kind of movement hurts, I just want to curl up in a ball and cry, but I have to stand here for 4 hours. I don't know what to do, how to stop it from hurting, nothing seems to be working...

So sorry, dear one! I have to say that is the biggest hemorhoid (Sp?) I've ever heard of. I'm sure it hurts worse when you sit. I know it's a problem for you to get to the doc, but I am inclined to think that this baby ain't going to go away easily. Hope your doc's office will call as soon as they can.

I found Tucks helpful to control the pain. I used the pads but they now have a spray I believe.

Since you have been in pain for so long it is probably time for surgery (at least an assessment by a doc). A nurse I worked with had surgery on hers during lunch break and she said it was no big deal and went right back to work (benefit of working with surgeons who are willing to help us out)

Hope you feel better soon

Oh Gawd you poor thing!! I just wanted to write because I've experienced really bad ones, after the births of my children. I would sob with my butt in the air trying to send the blood flow away from them. After my 10 lb son, there were about 4 of them totalling the size of my fist, it was hell. My midwife advised olive oil, my mom advised trying to sort of stuff them back inside, those 2 things did help somewhat. But holy hell I really feel for you I know how horrible it is! Mine still flare up sometimes. But my sister has them bad and has to carry a sitz bath with her everywhere she goes to soak em, she needs to get the surgery done for them eventually.

Thank you all for such kind words. I have an appointment with doc on the fifth, just gotta hang in there. The pain is much less now, but it still hurts, it hurts like it normally would now. Im trying not to sit or lay on it, laying on my side of stomach. But now im afraid to use the bathroom if i have to today. Im starting to feel better, like a 4 out of 10, i dont want it to get worse again

Oh, yeah, I remember those Tucks after I had my first child. I got the generic version awhile back, and it smelled just the same as 20 years ago!

I was thinking about the surgery thing, too. Never had it, but I know an aunt of mine did and was fine.

Glad you have an appointment with the doc and hope you'll be fine soon!

ROFL Thank you, you crack me up! Yes I think you can be the Queen of the Roids.

But seriously, I should probably get the procedure too - was it horrible/ok? I really don't want anyone touching my butt eeks!

And PurpleFlyingMonkeys, hope you're feeling a bit better yet?

really not bad - like the dentist - they freeze your butt, that pinch is bad, then you just have to relax and "open up" (and stop laughing!) my T sent me to his butt doctor, he was the best. I asked him if he was gonna send pics of my butt to my T, he said, heck i'm posting them on facebook right now! the nurse was like, whaaaa??!!
Thanks for this!
