It all started when I got word my parents were coming home from being out of town. I'm afraid of my dad and it seems that everything I touch I destroy; like his car, his computer, and now I have to ask him to bail me out of a financial bind when i know he's been spending bucks elsewhere, shoot. Maybe I need a payee, I've spent thounds of dollars to banks for fines and fees and my thereaphist pointed out that I spend 1% on myself, the rest are gifts. Yes I think my self-esteem is out of wack, not to mention that I hate my life right now.

I need a chg and I think this is why I'm sick, it's fear based.

so laryngitis....isn't it fun! I got laryngitis I have had it for almost two weeks and let me tell you stress and not being able to shut up definately make it harder to get over. Not to mention that it isn't the fist time I have had it so that makes it that much worse. My mom tells me that stress alone can cause laryngitis, and right now I tend to believe it.

Hope you feel better soon....I know it is hard to be in a finiancial bind and sick at the same time. I have been there all too often. Things will get better with your dad, sounds like what happened to me as a teen, everything of his I touched broke. and he didn;'t have money to give me because he had to spend ti elsewhere.

Well take care, and try not to talk if its laryngitis, also when u think you are better, give it 2 days before you talk much, 'cause otherwise you will just loose it agian....trust me I know...I haven't been able to talk for 2 weeks!

I worked with a woman and she'd get sick every time her father went out of town (he was the owner of the company I worked for). It was almost funny but her mother had died a couple years earlier, etc. She'd have some catastrophe or another and we'd all wait to see what it was going to be "this" time (and how we could help her).

Maybe you can write you and your father a letter or "contract" with ideas on how to improve and run it by your therapist? At least outline the problem you need help with this time?
