At 5' 6" and 185 pounds in my female body I am completely disgusted with myself. How could I take such horrible care of myself?

This insane sugar addiction is killing me. At the rate I'm going I very well could be 600 pounds in 2-3 years. I see my nurse practitioner that does my psych meds on Tuesday. Debating calling PCP and going to see him. Maybe he'll have some ideas on how to kick this sugar habit. I mean virtually everything I eat has some sugar/sweetener in it because when I'm hungry I don't feel like making something healthy. And that's the convenience foods laying around the house.

I don't know what to do.

Are you on a psych med that causes weight gain ? if that is the case maybe try some of the "weigh neutral" ones.

I feel for you, I gained 35 very fast years back when on Zyprexa.. Refused to ever allow a medication to cause that again. I deal with anorexia so it was impossible to handle.

I hope you can find a solution Be your own best advocate.

Good for you. I have a horrible problem with my weight and know all the right things to do. But just do it!

Check out this link. It`s about having a bad body-image. Great advice and inspiration here. As much as I hate the word "fat", in this context it seems somehow to sum up the issue.

Well, not the sugar-addiction issue, but I believe that accepting oneself leads to inspiration to take better care of oneself. It doesn`t seem so overwhelming when self-acceptance is the starting-point.
