Okay, so this is interesting. Pitta can have an emotional energy that causes overeating. So then physically we show up as kapha because of being a little heavy. I actually think I am pitta kapha, not vata kapha. I think nervous emotional energy causes me to overeat. However, getting more exercise would help. I think if I were balanced I would be a dominant Pitta as I think that is what I was when young. Depression is kapha energy, and anger is Pitta energy. Actually, I don't know much about Vata. The more you read about these the more things makes sense. I have been making adjustments for kapha imbalance and I actually can feel myself getting more in balance which I think is pretty cool. As long as it all leads to better health it is good, right?

I don't really overeat, but I forget to eat so when I eat I probably eat too much, also I don't have much energy to walk it off. My brain on the other hand is always very busy.

I have also thought of what I was in the past and maybe I should retake the test the way I was then to have more clues. I was calmer mentally and had more physical energy.

OK that was REALLY interesting. I took an online test that was quite extensive and when I took it as the young me say age 15-25 I was 50 % pitta, and the rest about equally split. Taking it as the me now I was almost exactly split between the three.

When I first came across this way of seeing things, I "felt" like I was a sort of the pitta type. I was then vaguely pitta dominant and that was my true nature. After that it has changed, the last 10 years or so.

It gives me more info but I'm still not sure what to make of it.

Anyways, maybe I am speaking from point of Eastern European.

When we kill a pig (there is a special celebration about it here) we use almost every part of it. I bake my cookies with lard I love greaves/cracklings on bread as opposed to butter. It feels so much more sensible than flying some food products around the planet. Breakfast of two eggs bit of cheese and bacon and slice of bread will cost me like... 75 cents and make feel fed.... as opposed to exotic fruit from the same price, that has been hover back and forth across the world. I like to buy milk straight from the cow from farmers market. So creamy It's very popular here, we have even moo trucks that go around and sell it (I call them moo trucks, because they broadcast cows moo and "we briiiing youuuu fresh miiiiiiilk" when they come at certain time).

sure I like veggies. But it's often stuff that vegans like freelee consider evil, like hummus or eggplants dip, because they have some oils on them. Well lot of it. But for me hummus has been a great food and it actually feel like meat, as opposed to having some fruit and thinking "okay, where is the real food now".

But honestly? I am bit annoyed of the trend of making your food a core point of your personality and flooding the social media with pictures of pancakes and fruits. As I said elsewhere, I don't really care what goes in your body.... and I am worried next step is posting pix of what comes OUT. It's all personal choice.

I haven't seen those but I feel torn here. Many people have food addictions and they are addicted to sugar/fat/additives and they eat things that really look horrible to me. They taste horrible as well. And still those people get this glow in their eyes and go like YUM I LOVE THIS.

I can think that is icky because I know what it means to be addicted to junk food (sugar mostly in my case). how it feels NOT to be addicted and how it feels to look at those still eating the crap. It does make me feel EEWW for real.

But also.... sheesh..... I cannot understand going to extremes. I like and enjoy food (and drink), and I see nothing wrong having something that is supposedly not good for you, if it is a treat. Life would be really dull if you can't enjoy food, treating food with a totally analytical mind sounds horrid to me. I do eat a little chocolate at times even if it is not my favorite. I do not eat meringues but I have other favorites, like maybe real vanilla ice cream (home made is the best but when did I get THAT last time sigh lol) or apple cobbler with a dash of whipped cream. Also I'm ridiculously fond of "plain" food like potatoes, cheese, milk....

I try to listen in and the only thing I truly need to stay away from is sugar because my body doesn't handle it well. Else it seems like I can eat everything at least in small amounts. My only other issues are nuts (they make me nauseated) and too much meat (makes my bathroom habits change and um... smell horrific, also I feel too full). Self imposed food restrictions seem unnecessary for me. The thing lacking for me is thinking ahead so I spend less energy on cooking and also it would be great if I stopped forgetting to eat...

Most of all I like fresh food, when I am let loose in late summer I can "forage" like crazy LOL. Wild raspberries is the BEST.

Well, I find the usual candy gross too, but that's me. And I will not flip out over somebody else eating it. And I will not attack their whole personality for eating what I consider gross. Such reaction seems to be over the top and does not seem to be coming from a mentally balanced person.

I wouldn't say out loud what I think, and no I don't judge their whole personality either. So much more to people than what they eat!

I find your perspective very interesting I wasn't born in the US and a lot of the older people where I'm from tend to think a lot of the extreme diets are strange when they hear about it.

FWIW, Freelee can be a hard person to argue with. She "appears" to be healthy, right? She appears to have great physical shape. She likes to talk about her blood tests with great results. When you have someone like her eating all the fruit she can, to other people her diet isn't "extreme."

So there is some drama going between her and Tana Mongeau (a youtuber that does mostly story time videos... which i like to watch from time to time to distract).

And Freelee and especially her boyfriend have been so NASTY to this young girl (who is like 17!!!).

So sure, she may be "lean", but she looks quite aged (once you reach certain age, you have to make choice between being tooth pick skinny and having good complexion and young looking face. Freelee choose tight gap). He boyfriend looks even worse. And she seems to have some mental problems. She seems to have nothing else in her life except "carbing up", riding a bike and being nasty to non-vegans (and even critical to vegans who don't follow HER lifestyle, including the biking and eating your bananas rotten). That seem too little for somebody in their 30s.

I don't believe Freelee actually eats everything she claims to eat. Her fanbase is comprised of teenaged girls who are probably going to end up wrecking their bodies until the parents take them to the doctor.
