When I was younger, for years I used to have stomache aches and vomiting every Christmas Day, lol. Whilst everyone else was eating their Christmas dinner, I held a hot-water bottle to my stomache... I can't remember but it might have worked.

I guess it would depend on why it hurts? Antacids help me (Pepcid Complete) often. I like some cool, soothing foods too (my Dannon Activia yogurt) or warm soothing ones like cream of wheat or oatmeal, etc.

A piece of PEPPERMINT Candy will help - it has been used for ages - and I always keep some around the house and in my purse.

Aw, Rhapsody, you beat me to it! I was going to suggest peppermint candy, too, LOL! That's what I usually take when my stomach is hurting, or if I feel too full. One day, I was in the car with my boyfriend, and I was eating a peppermint stick I'd gotten from Cracker Barrel because I'd eaten too much, and he had, too, but he thinks the idea of eating candy when you're full is sickening (a lot of people do), but he told me, just the scent of my peppermint made him feel better.

However, I also agree with Perna. It depends on why your stomach hurts. I don't know what to tell you about helping yourself cry, but I hope the peppermint will help.

Sometimes ginger tea helps - or ginger ale if you do not have the stuff for tea. And, if you have peppermint tea that is good too - like the peppermint candy.

Freewill,

How are you feeling? Is the respiratory infection any better? How's the tummy?

Hugs,

Jan
