During intercourse it just flops and wont go back no matter what i can accept the baldness but going limp all the time is not good at all its very embarrasing and damaged you i feel so low. Never in my life have i felt like this. Is it hormonal change i dont know depression? I dont know i did talk to a doctor all they did was give me viagra tablets thats not really good enough ![]() Im sorry to bother people on here i known i shudnt but im stuck. hey John,, i know what you mean about embarrassing, things we're just not supposed to talk about, let alone experience~!
are you taking meds for depression ? cause those can cause all kinds of changes in your metabolism. they don't work the same for everyone. otherwise, i'd suggest asking your doc about hormone replacement therapy~ docs often just slap on the first bandaid that comes to hand, and don't want to deal with the complexities of hormone replacement. wish you the best of luck~

Hello John: I can't offer you any authoritative advise with regard to all of this.
![]() ![]() ![]() Of course, it is possible that the baldness may be genetic I suppose. ![]() ![]() Since this is your first post here on PC... ![]() ![]() ![]() PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. Would you advise that i see a doctor about this!? I dont take any medication for depression as iv never spoke to a doctor about been depressed tbh but maybe that is a part of it i could be depressed but thats all because of the problems?
I do have to take iron tablets as they wanted me to do a blood test and thought it could be thyroid releated but it turns out i had low iron but iv been on them a month now i ghink the best bet would be to go back and let it all out but its kind of barrasing to docthis as they seem to have a little laugh to them selfs. Baldness i can deal with i dont mind that but its the other problem i cant |

I would suggest a nutritionist. Some of those things you shared are caused by deficiencies in minerals etc like...iodine or zinc for instance... you can research them online though, look for "natural" cures or nutritional remedy for ...xxx acne xxx baldness... and of course there are other causes for loss of libido/performance... and since you're here on a mental health site, yeah, that could be part of your problem too.

hi , i know it is is easy for me to say , but try not to be embarrassed about this as there is no need .the doctors do not laugh about it at all they treat it the same as any other medical problem and it is actualy much more common than many people think i know this for a fact from my previous profession.good luck getting the help you need.

Depression and anxiety can cause ED, so can Hypertension (high blood pressure), elevated "bad" cholesterol, low testosterone, and a huge wad of other, normal things. This is so common among men as the get older (and I don't mean 90!). All you have to do is watch tv to see a million adds for viagara, cialis, etc. Definitely start with your family doc, but also ask about some of the things I mentioned above (hypertension, cholesterol, low testosterone, etc, but also ask about treatment for depression. If you don't get results from your GP, get referrals to specialists in these fields. There's help out there, seek it out!
Above all, don't be embarrassed for speaking openly here; that's what we're all here for, to help and to be helped!

Perhaps you need to change the way you think about baldness. It is seen as a positive trait among many men.

Quote:
One reason for low testosterone is a large percentage of men (35+ years of age) are on cholesterol-lowering statin drugs which inhibit the production of cholesterol, the base material for testosterone production, lowering the synthesis and level of testosterone (see Figure 7 of this scholarly article at The Dangers of Cholesterol-lowering Agents like Statins or Garcinia Cambogia Extract: Diabetes & Low T). Statin drugs are also linked to Erectile Dysfunction (among many other serious issues) because they feed the production of arterial calcification (see Figure 8 in the article above). Statins cause tremendous harm but provide a tiny benefit, if at all. |
