I am so fed up and upset at the same time ,my legs have the feeling of pins and needles all of the time and I can hardly walk.Feels like they will collapse .I dont know if it is because of the soda or I am to dehydrated.It does seem like every time I have soda lately my legs get all whobbly,So it makes it hard for me to tell if these are anxieties or not sometimes my meds work and other times they don't. I do have neuropathy To say the least I am at my wits end,I certainly do not want to stay in bed all day,I do exercises on my legs,this is so frustrating like a very bad shaky feeling,how do u get rid of them,It gets to be so bad at times I wish I could cut my legs off.I know anxieties can cause a lot of problems right now they feel like they are asleep needless to say I am scared

For my neuropathy I was prescribed Gabapentin. It worked great. I don't get that where I am now (the gabapentin, not the neuropathy). If I can ever get out of here I'll ask for it again.

Other things that helped my legs and feet are an adjustable bed so I can elevate my legs, and a small bit of protein before bedtime, like a plain hard-boiled egg. Also Cogentin helps too. And avoid anything sugary at bedtime. HTH.

I do eat sugar when I am not suppose to especially drink soda too ,it does seem like every time I eat or drink something with sugar in it lthis happens,no wonder I am a diabetic, I didnt know they had meds for neuropathy

Please go and see your doctor and have your blood sugar levels checked and get some gabapentin. Time to make a doctors appointment. Do you have a friend that can take you to the doctor?

I cant see my doctor right now I cannot.To afraid to leave the house I have no way of getting there any way,I just got a blood sugar machine waiting for it to come in,It is hard for me to go anywhere since I have very bad agoraphobia.Just writing this is making me anxious,I do appreciate your concern though. I will try not to eat or drink to much sugar,I am fine now,it comes and goes my legs feel like they are pins and needles ,I do have restless leg syndrome too.Sometimes when I get very anxious this will happen,well first I lost my mom and ever since then I have been feeling this way.

Diabetis builds up to the point you are at now & it just corresponded to when your mom died.....it was going on in your body long before that.

Stop eating sugar & drinking sodas. You are just killing yourself because diabetis is like that.

I had a friend who was diabetic. Her kidneys failed because she didn't take care of her diet. Ended up on dialisis. Then had to have a kidney transplant. The diabetis & dialisis destroyed her heart valves & she had to have those replaced. Amputated toe, sores that don't heal.

Whether you are agouraphobic or not you need to focus on getting to an MD & getting help & taking care of yourself. The pins & needles in your legs is the least of your problems of what is going on inside your body with uncontrolled blood sugar.

My friend is a medical PA & has said numerous times when I was talking about my friend....."diabetis is the silent killer" people have no idea the damage that is being done inside their body.

Your shaking & even your anxiety could be caused by the lack of care you are giving to your diabetis. Yep it is easier to complain than to do something but it is wiser to do something no matter how difficult it might be

I have cut down on sweets a lot before I use to eat them all of the time.I also need to take my inderol because I have bad tremors so when I do take them everyday sometimes they work and sometimes they dont.I also lost 13 pounds.I basically stick to my meals on wheels meals.cannot eat the vegetables though it give me stomach problems.

Thank you she died on June 9 she was so very sick and 90.She had lost the will to live ever since my dad died.My son says she was nothing but skin and bones.He told me I could have never taken seeing her like that.Two weeks before her passing she wouldnt even talk to me or anybody else for that matter.I am just so glad that I did get to tell her I loved her before she passed away.I miss her so much.My dad died a little over two years ago.I am going to give you a hug

My mom just turned 90 last month. I keep telling myself she will be all right and live to 115 or something. I haven't seen her in 9 years now. She has a best friend who is 100, I think. I hope her friend will be ok because I'm afraid my mom will give up if she loses her friend. It's a big worry. Lots of hugs to you. Sorry I talked about my mom, too.

All my mom kept saying "I wish God would take me " that is all what everyone ever heard. Well she finally got her wish. Makes me sick to think she starved herself to death, refused her meds but I suppose at that age you dont expect to be around that much longer anyway but it still hurts ,I hadnt seen her like in three years. She verbually and sometimes physically abused me but I finally forgave her about three years ago ,there was no point in being angry anymore, when my dad died I hadnt talked to him for over three years he didnt care to talk to anyone anymore, I told her she will be around to be 100 she said she hoped not, How sad is this?? She wanted me to ask God to take her. I would not do that I cant asks God to take anybody let alone my mom.

Yes, I also forgave my mom. I haven't forgotten the abuse but I forgave her. My Dad passed away over 20 years ago and my mother was ok because he was so abusive. So she thrived after he was gone. I'm so glad she got to be happy for awhile. I'm sorry your mom was depressed before she passed. I'm glad you got to tell her you love her.

She would do anything for you she often felt bad because she couldnt help me.I didnt want her to.At 90 she should have been taken care of not her helping me.I remember the day I spoke to hospice they told me it wouldn't be long before she passed,I cried when I heard that.You know it was almost 100 degrees and the home health aid told me she had to have three blankets on. Here I am trying to stay cool I do have a ac but even sometimes with the humidity it can be very bad. I do have her picture right next to me.

Her and my dad are still looking out for me they left me a little bit of something I dont know and I really dont care I would rather have them still around. She could be really mean at times everyone in my family was getting upset with her and her stupid comments but deep down inside she knows we all loved her.

Family can be stressful. I have 50% love, and 50% stress. I just keep praying they will be okay. (My mom and siblings.)
