The bright red kind that always stops after the vomiting stops. It seems like a few years ago I "broke" something and some always comes up but it's been a lot more lately.

Well, typically I'd say any blood loss after vomiting is not normal, but I've had very limited experience with that. Do you have a GI doc or PCP doc or nurse you can contact about it?

My PCP sent out a referral to a GI specialist two weeks ago. I was previously told(a couple years ago) I can expect some blood just because I’ve been abusive to my esophagus, but the last couple times I threw up it seemed easily double or triple what it used to be. I don’t remember how much I lost during my MW tear (I passed out right after for that), so not sure if I made another. It does stop shortly after the vomiting stops so I guess I’m fine until that’s not the case.

Could be an ulcer too I suppose.

Yeah, the doc at the hospital mentioned that was a possibility.

How would you know that the bleeding stops after the vomiting stops? You would have to be completely transparent.
Is there no spite in you? At one point, i decided to live just to spite my mother. |

Because if I try coughing up more later there’s no blood, the next times I throw up it‘s all fresh blood(bright red) and no older stuff (darker, coffee ground emesis), and there’s no signs of bloody stools.

Stomach can’t digest blood though. When I’ve had more chronic bleeding that’s why my puke looked more like coffee grinds (old blood that just sits until it comes back up). Maybe if there’s a small enough amount it’s not going to come up or isn’t going to be noticeable, that’s possible. If it’s not that much though, I’m not too concerned. If I see the brown stuff I’ll take a pic and call my doc to show her. In the meantime I don’t have any nausea meds (unless you want to count Klonopin but I’m stockpiling that shht), so it’s not like I’ll even be attempting to eat enough to have to puke after.

Thanks for the explanation. That explains the coffee grounds stuff that i always hear about but never questioned, which i am appalled at (that i never questioned).
I like how they are saying now that the gut is really "outsides", not innards, like a spleen or a kidney. I guess also because it reacts directly with the outside world. |
