The pain has spread to behind my knee. I should get it checked out I guess.
ChatGPT also gave me some suggestions.

Did you fall or something? Apply some ice.

I've been slipping on this excercise ball thing I have. I need to step over it and my foot can slip and I"ll lose my balance a bit.
I also recently started wearing Crocs a lot.

Crocs might not be shoes for you. I don’t find them comfortable.

That looks serious! It looks like you got bitten by a mosquito, chigger, or spider. I can't imagine wearing crocs or using a yoga ball would cause that.
What kind of pain is it?

If its bursitis, a sac around the joint which is filled with fluid gets inflamed and expands, because it got irritated in some way. It is often called housemaid's knee, which one would get from scrubbing floors on your hands and knees in the olden days before Swiffer! I got one on the back of my knee from this. Its very alien! Cold wrap helps.

Well, I had been looking only at the thumbnails, which showed darkness at and below the knee in the left image -- I didn't realize the images could be made full screen. (insert forehead smack here)
Anyway I don't see anything at all like an infection. I'm so sorry if I caused any alarm! If the pain interferes with the usual activities, and if bursitis, a single steroid injection could clear it up.

I had a normal doctors visit today and I showed him. He said it looks puffy and feels warm and mushy. I'm waiting to hear back about an ultrasound. Walking is kinda difficult but I don't have anything to do today

A DVT is usually below the knee in the calf. A torn meniscus is a funny animal.(not literally). You can tear it without even knowing it, then wake up the next day with a swollen knee which radiates pain.
I tore mine a year ago. The swelling and pain went away after 6 weeks, but I still can't walk up or down the stairs like I used to. I had the DVT also. Following an initial hospitalization, I had residual swelling, which is normal, but the physicians in training panicked and ordered surgery. I disagreed with that treatment plan and insisted on being seen by the cardiologist. He came in and said he had evaluated both my ultrasounds and I had made excellent progress. The swelling was harmless. He discharged me when the transporter was at my door to take me to surgery. My advice? Stay away from physicians in training. Avoid hospitals if you can. |

Now I have some kind of bump on my arm that my mom can feel. I'll need to something in the morning.
