I've had it twice. What I want to know is, can you get it even around an already-closed wound? The foot I got the stitches in the bottom of a few months ago hurts again just like it did then. I can't tell if it's all red and puffy, because most of the bottom of my foot looks red and puffy.
My calf hurts too. I'm so tired of all this. ![]() ![]() |

My Uncle gets it at least once a year like clockwork, and he has never had an open wound with it.

For about 3 yrs in a row I got it like every 6 months on my tummy where my hysterectomy incision is. It had no open wounds there. So yes it can happen. Please get yourself to a doctor ASAP. As you know this is nothing to mess around with!! I'm so sorry your going thru this! Its definitely scarey. I hope everything turns out ok. Here to support you. Hugz Bethy

I have an appt. with a foot dr. tomorrow anyway, so will just let him figure it out. Bottom of my foot still hurts, but since I spent the entire weekend sleeping, not so much as it did. Maybe it's just that I wear cheap shoes, I dunno.
