I have had pain for the last few days, I can't really be sure where its coming from, it just feels like its right above my pelvis, near my 'beer gut'. So i don't know if you would consider it pelvic pain or not. I still have not had a period in about a year and a half (i was on depo shot but no longer) so I have no period so its not cramps. I think i will take a prego test in a day or 2, but i doubt pelvic pain has anything to do with getting knocked up.

if you have stopped the depo shot it could be the return of your period. has to happen sometime pelvic pain? could be any number of other things too. gas, appendix, uti, if it doesn't go away soon i would get it checked out.

I had a funny feeling it was PID, And guess what? I was right. I have pelvic inflammatory disease. At first i thought it was my anxiety making it worse than it actually was, nope it was not the anxiety this time. SHEESH!! Glad i got checked out. Pregnant = negative.

Balish - what is PID ( i mean, beyond what you wrote)?? I'll have to web md it. I can't get myself to go in. My dr keeps asking me too. but i've ignored her.

Silver... yeah.... it's higher than that =( probably just my ovaries falling out. Not like I'm going to be using them...

I hurt. It doesnt hurt if I sit still, but when i walk or move around, it really does hurt. For anyone else who doesnt know what it is, its "an infection of the reproductive organs that can lead to infertility". He put me on 2 different anti-biotics, doxycycline, and flagyl. I read that the reason why they put you generally on 2 at the same time is because the bacterial infection can be such a variety that they try and cover all of it. He did cultures on me and will have the results in a few days, but the most common culprits of PID is chlamidia and ghonnoria (which i know thats not how i got mine, i am married and both hubby and i are very faithful to eachother).

I guess sometimes even wiping back to front can even do it. Yuck! I don't do that either, but this sucks! OWIE! He did an "exam on me" to feel my cervix, and he says "does that hurt" i say "um yea that really hurts do you mind?" GEEZ can i get a break here? Where can I buy a new immune system? I'll pay a pretty penny to get me a new one!!

wow i agree with all that. i am finally going in today and shaking like a leaf =( i'm such a wimp and FREAKING out about this. At this point md thinks it is an ovarian cyst (but she hasn't seen me yet) and i have had one before that was "Assumed" but was never found even with an ultrasound....until it removed it self about 6 months later. @_@ I do not want to do a pelvic ultrasound again. I guess i could always just take THE PILL again against my cycle like last time (which is what I think removed the cyst) because I didn't understand the directions ...duh! but yeah, none of the reasons for that infection fit me either, even tho the description of the pain does. Zounds i don't want to do this. besides, i can't take any anti-biotics at all. that's how i got this sick in the first place.
i, too, want a new immune system.... and a new body - one that comes w/o pain.

pelvic pain? Hugs to you Balish.

Kiya I'm so glad you are going in for a check up.

I hope anyone with these types of symptoms get themselves checked out, very important, complications of untreated P.I.D. can be serious.

I've gone through P.I.D., painful. I did get good health care, took antibiotics, and everything cleared up.

Cedar, did you experience a bloated feeling, or an upset tummy along with the PID?

I am so glad you went, see? Your gut instinct is something you should not ignore. Whats the difference between an ovarian cist and a ruptured one? What i mean is, what are the dangers in a ruptured one?

hmmmm i'm not really sure... i guess heavy bleeding. I'm barely having any (thankfully) but there is fluid somewhere pressing on something (i didn't pay attention to the details) and that is causing the pain. I have to go back if there is heavy bleeding, increased pain... or something else.... probably written down on all that stuff they gave me.
But they said i have to still see a Gyn next week... =( not happy about that. this is my second cyst, so i guess i will have to be on estrogen. yeeehaw. sadly, my gut instinct is shouting GET SEEN! but my mind is screaming NO WAY IN %*&^*&^*#!!!

Balish from what I recall I felt upset tummy along with the pain, general feeling of being unwell. I was really exhausted too.

I was in a bad relationship at the time and didn't rest up as much as the doctor wanted me to, she finally told me that I was close to being put in the hospital if I didn't get more rest and give myself time to heal with the antibiotics. That convinced me, I took better care of myself.

Hot water bottle also helped some with the pain.

(((((((Kiya)))))))))

So glad you went in and got checked. I myself would so love to never have to go to a doctor again, I don't like waiting in waiting rooms etc etc etc (insert lots of whining noises here) but I just make myself do it anyway. I wonder if folks with lots and lots of money get to have better experiences with the doctors? Maybe friendly relaxed house calls? pelvic pain?

Oh well, we all do the best we can.

pelvic pain? pelvic pain? pelvic pain?

they get to go via ambulance and be seen right away. But i think once you're in the gown and wrist band, it's a 5+ hour wait for everyone. pelvic pain?
at this point i am really glad i finally have a cell number for my dr.... i may just need it this weekend .... pelvic pain?

Yeah - may we all stay HEALTHY from now on!!!

I have totally been sleeping as long as possible. This week was my turn for the 4 night shifts in a row, so what i have been doing is coming home at 7am, sleeping until 3pm, doing things for a few hours, then back in bed at 6pm and sleeping until 9pm, and going back to work at 11pm. Luckily for the job i just sit at the computer and post on PC, so its not tiring work at all, lol!

Im not sure if its because my body is upset with me or if its the anti-biotics, but my "gas" is foooooooooooooul! (tmi tmi tmi)

yeah - i totally cannot take anti-biotics. messes up my stomach completely! Are you eating any yogurt ?? or anything with acidolophilus? The anti-biotics kill off *everything* in your stomach - good and bad bacteria. So the yogurt helps right the balance. Look for kinds with high acidolophilus (however it is spelled) or take it over the counter if you need to.

the doxy antibiotic says take withOUT food, and the flagyl says take WITH food. I decided the other day to take just the doxy until i could eat something to be able to take the flagyl, but apparently my system doesnt like antibiotics on an empty tummy anyway, a half hour after i took the doxy, it came riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight back up EEW!
