Ack! I have another kidney stone... it's kept me from spending much time on the computer the last few days or so. Right now, I am just waiting for it to pass... hoping that it will pass without too much difficulty.

It seems that in my life it is always one thing or another... just barely got over a cold and now this. *sigh* At least I have a doctor that actually listens to what I say now. He sent me home with a prescrip for antibiotics for in case I start getting an infection with this. And so now I just wait... Drink lots and lots of water... SkyBeDark, I thought of you today when I finally caved in to my pain and took the oxycodone. Kidney woes

Kidney stones are tremendously painful. Take the drugs. Are there friends who can check on you on a regular basis? No need to be a heroic cowboy and bite the bullet, these things are awful. Drink hot water, it always goes down better for me. Good luck.

Definitely take the pain meds.

I've never had kidney stones, but my brother had them and boy was he in alot of pain. I know they are terrible. I'm wishing you good luck that it all passes quickly and don't feel bad about the meds, that's why they were given. Kidney woes

take care of you,
Kimberly.

My heart goes out to you!!!!!!! Stones are terrible. I hope it passes soon so you can get some relief. But don't let this go for too long....go to the ER. They have good stuff---pain killers are useful. hehehe.

You can only take so much pain and with stones---OUCHIES!!

Last time I passed one I ended up in the ER. I could not take it anymore. I had to crawl to the car cause I would not let anyone near me. So please, go if needed.

Let us know how you make out okay???

Thinking of you and I am yelling at that stone for ya. GET THE HELL OUT!! hehe. Good luck and feel better soon...

TAKE THE MEDS. Kidney woes I literally throw up, like every 5-10 minutes, from the pain when I get kidney stones. If you can get to the ER, they'll shoot you full of all kinds of good stuff. I haven't had one in a few years, but whatever it was they gave me, i couldn't even stand up straight when it was time to go home! LOL great stuff!

Really. Them suckers HURT. Make yourself as comfortable as possible.

hmmmm sorry Obs that you had to think of me at that time lol

I've never had a kidney stone... they say one will begin to develop from just one time of dehydration!

I thought they have a "laser" type beam that will break them apart for you, now...Kidney woes(kidney stones are)

They have a laser beam that will break them apart for you as long as you have insurance to pay for said laser beam. :-\ Last time I had one, I was in grad school and uninsured. Too bad so sad for me, had to wait till it went away on its own. OUCH.

Yes they can laser those damn ugly things. Thats terrible that you would have to pay for something like that; pooie on them.

Dehydration will cause them for sure!! (had that happen).

I have passed several of these gross things over the last 5 years and it does not get any better.

Well, an update... so far, so good. I didn't end up with the 'please kill me' pain that I have had in the past. I did pass a stone about the size of a poppy seed, and then lost it before I could get it into a sterile container. I still feel a little achy, so I don't know if there is more to come. I'm hoping that there are no more.
