I am a single mother and have noticed that from time to time that my 7 yr old son goes in his room and acts like he is having sex ( this has happened several times since he was 3)... I seriously wonder if maybe he has seen his dad having sex???( I know kids see "things" sometimes purely by accident (nobody is prefect) (I have a boyfriend, but he doesn't come over... waiting until I know the relationship is serious) but I have definitely noticed a pattern (months can go by and nothing, then Bam! I have talked to him about appropriate behavior... But I am not getting any "real" answers from therapists we have seen.... Am I making too much out of this?
Thoughtful comments please

Its difficult to categorize this as either inappropriate or natural, because this is the most impressionable phase of a child. But, you definitely need to address this in some way.

This is very common in children who have bipolar. Does your child have a diagnosis? On meds? In therapy? I would explore this possibility with his doctor asap!
