Hello, ARich here, man, age 54. I've been in a mildly verbal abusive marriage sixteen years to controlling wife. Much of the time I allowed it, didn't bother me as I had my space. Now it is a bother as my wife is retired. I just need to get my anger out in the right place. I did this when there were problems a few years ago, found a marriage rant site but ran into other women ranting about men which really opened a can of worms and had me feeling worse.

Thanks Skeezkys,
The more I read my post, the more I realized my wife wasn't the problem. But now it is like where to write about it, in what forum, as here I deal with issues involving transgender, codependency, schizophrenia and the general need to seek attention, which my artistic, anti mainstream mind seeks. |

I have been in a bad marriage and I am now divorced.
Like you, I can look back now and see the things that were my fault but I also know the things that were her fault and they were big in my eyes. We went to a marriage counselor and as soon as the counselor started to point out things that the ex was doing that needed to change, the ex said we don't need counseling. We were married for 27 years and I am glad to be divorced. That being said I know that it was right for me but not right for everyone. I hope you get it all worked out and you can be happy.
