Hello,

I found this video, which I found quite interesting because it offers a perspective fromsomeone who was diagnosed with narcissim and has the 9 traits of NPD. He is very self-aware of his narcissim.

Have a great day!
Ava.

I'm a diagnosed Narcissist(I meet all nine of the criteria). I am fully aware that I have the disorder.

Ok. Do you have an idea of what could have caused that disorder? Or are you ok with having the disorder?

Yes, I have several ideas about what caused the disorder to develop in the first place.

I've accepted that I have the disorder. There is no pride or shame in having NPD for me, it is what it is.
Thanks for this!

Oh boy, Matt, the eternal rebel's back in action, lol
I'd like to hear the reasons directly from Aty, of course, if she wants to talk about it.
I have an idea of what caused my mental illness, too. And it bugs me to have a MI. So, I'm working on changes in my behavior to have a more fulfilling life and enjoy it more.

Hugs people.
Ava.

LMAO! I admire him in some respects but I don't like some traits he has, so boom ka boom! He acts like a smartass and enjoys angering others, so.... yo! :O
But he gives good insight into problems SOMETIMES because he's smart and knowledgable.

LOL, I know you love me too Matt

Yeah I've seen this guy before. Sam Vankin.
The thing is Sam is a psychopath not just a narcissist he has spent time in prison wrote, a book etc.

I, Psychopath - Top Documentary Films

Psychopaths can be self aware, psychopaths can admit fault (they just don't give a f##k) A true narc NEVER admits fault. They lie, lie, lie.

I do not know any narcissists that are self aware. To suggest to a NPD they are anything but perfect will lead to RAGE.
I believe narcissisum is a PD you are born with. A narc is 'wired differently'

However it is possible people with narcissist traits, learned behaviour (from parents) can be aware and seek help.

Interesting video marmaduke! I didn't know that Sam Vankin was also a psychopath... he is a very interesting person. It made me laugh when the psychologist asked him "would you say you are married and together?" "my wife believes I am"

Have you ever heard of Thomas Sheridian's theory on psychopathy?

Okay, I would be even more of a liar than I already am if I said that bolded part isn't an exact description of me. Hahahahah!

That's exactly what I thought when I read that, Aty. Maybe not many people are as self-aware though, which is pretty impressive.
