I find myself constantly checking the time, counting down minutes and hours. It has become like an obsession! Especially when I am busy doing something I don't enjoy or when I need to do something I don't enjoy. Like on Sundays, I'm constantly counting the hours until bedtime, until work, until another week starts. At work, I'm constantly checking the time, til lunch, then til home time. At night it is the same.

Is this a form of OCD? Is it treatable? How would I even begin to cure myself from this? It causes me so much anxiety and I constantly feel like I'm living on the edge! I don't want to count the hours of my life away. Can anyone please give some help or advice?

Hey Charl sometimes time alters for me, a year to some people feels like a year, sometimes a year to me feels like one week, or a day to me might feel like a week, or a week can feel like a month, my mind stretches time or cuts it into pieces, but obsessing is okay once it does not hurt your thoughts, routine is a good thing, if you want to be serious I guess we all kind of obsess over time, I'm sure teachers do.

I think it is just a really bad habit, like people who check their emails or smart phones too often. I found this article helpful to me: The unhealthy habit and inefficiency of over checking
