Hello,
My Intrusive thoughts have been getting worse then better... I am on a new anti depressant and its helped both Intrusive thoughts and depression a bit but it goes back and forth. I still have both but depression tame but my anxiety is high because of my intrusive thoughts and I have had to take my anxiety meds more often than I use too. I even have to take half of one before I leave house sometimes. The new pill is making me sleep better but Im still severely anxious and I don't know how to handle all anxiety over intrusive thoughts I thought of reading this book that was suggested to me called Brain Lock by Jeffrey M. Schwartz. I already purchased a copy but worried it won't work. Has anyone read it? any thoughts on all I've said? |

Hello and thankyou for your message. I too have suffered a great deal with compulsive obsessive intrusive thoughts. I have to say that meds helped me out a lot on that one. I'm now also doing DBT/STEPPS to encourage my way of thinking to change. First and formost it's the meds that helped me the most. It's not worth me saying which meds I take, as we are all so different in our reactions to various meds. However, if you would like to know whats helped me, then I will tell you in a private message. It doesn't mean they will help you though. I wish you luck in your journey forwards. HUGS. X

Thanks for the reply. I am on meds just not OCD ones because they interact with antidepressants poorly so we have to use mood stabilizers sometimes.
