Today I was speaking to my counselor about some of my delusions and my paranoid thoughts. She asked me about the things that I do to make sure that bad things don't happen. When I told her some of the things she started talking about OCD. She told me how I have a compulsion to do certain things or I get very anxious and when I preform the compulsion I feel less anxious and safe.
I am scared to think that I have OCD. I guess it's because there is now cure or medication for it. Just things to help the anxiety. I just wanted to get this off my chest since it really concerned me.

I don't know your exact compulsions so what I'm saying may not be relevant but I think to a point we all have a level of OCD. It's only a major worry if those repetitive actions are interfering with daily life. For example, I check my water tap in my sink two or three times to ensure it is off before bed. I know it's weird and quirky but because I'm not checking it two or three hundred times, I don't worry about my habit. I think it's a judgment call you or a close acquaintance has to make.

Hi! I understand that you are worried, but actually there are therapies for OCD, for example cognitive-behavioural therapy, and also meds can help in some cases. So, don't feel hopeless dear
