I have had this as long as I can remember and would love to grow my eyelashes back out. What is some ways to keep myself from pulling?

Hey Star,

Are you seeing a therapist? Because this problem is serious, and you need to get immediate help. It is an obsession that needs to be controlled, and sometimes patients with your condition get prescribed some meds. Just remember, these are the obsessions, not you! They take over you and they are forcing you to do something you don't want

I hope you get better soon, just keep us posted, okay?

Hi! I've had trich for a very long time as well, and I hope this advice helps as I haven't pulled in 3-4 years.

1. If you feel the compulsion to pull, wear bandaids or gloves on your fingers so the hair will slip out of your grasp.

2. If you feel the urge, distract yourself with doodling or some other activity that requires both hands.

3. Wear fake eyelashes or something that helps you feel confident. it may sound stupid, but it really helps!!

Remember we are always here for you

Lots of hugs and good wishes,
A friend
