Basically I am starting CBT for my OCD for the second time tomorrow
![]() The first time I didn't have much luck probably because my therapist wasn't great and we had to stop early due to me having a psychotic break. My psychologist has told me that we will be doing Exposure Response Prevention Therapy and I am SUPER scared! I didn't do this when I had CBT the first time so I have no idea what to expect ![]() Has anyone done this before? What was it like? Did it help? |

Hello SadMermaid: I have not done either CBT or exposure therapy. So I can't speak to the helpfulness of either one. However, I thought I would simply leave a note wishing you the best.

Hi, Mermaid. How did it go at therapy? I've also had therapy for my OCD, but it really didn't do much; it too was CBT. I've heard about exposure therapy, but the idea of it is very disturbing to me, so I dunno if I could ever do it. Hopefully it's been beneficial to you. I'd be interested in hearing about it, in-case I some day get such an opportunity. I'm thinking of going back for CBT again, but this time group therapy instead of one-on-one therapy.
