Hi folks,

Some PC members brought to my attention that they found this software beneficial and helpful in their own self-help work:

http://www.findingoptimism.com/

I mention this because you can download a trial version of the software for free today and give it a test-run. Next week, we'll be running a special promotion only for Psych Central members where you can purchase the software at a steeply discounted rate.

This is not an advertisement or sponsorship... this is just a product that some members have mentioned to me and I worked out a deal to get you a discount on it if you're interested. I'll be posting details of the offer next week.

In the meantime, download the trial and give it a try. It may just help you keep track of your goals and stay on track in your own recovery.

Best,
DocJohn

PS - If you've found a product or service online that's personally benefited you, drop me a note -- I'd love to hear about it!

I checked it out and liked what I saw...however I have to password protect mine but can't do it until I pay.
But it seemed to be very thorough.

You are so dearly kind... I hope many take advantage of the offer.

We can all use a little help here and there, and some of us, a little more on top!

Thanks Doc John for working out helping things be more affordable.

You are the best.

Peace,
Nightbird

Be sure to let us know when the special offer comes through. I'm very interested in this. I downloaded the free trial. It's easy to use and seems like a great tool.

When you're logged in, you'll see the promotion code at the top of every page throughout the week. Hope you find it helpful!

Do you see the big banner at the top that says "optimism software"? It's in the banner ad...

Bought, downloaded, pass word protected...

Very good
and it certainly makes you concentrate on things
when it's between you and a "I need this" then you really get honest
Have mercy...

No kidding, now. It's worth it. I feel like I'm having a valid conversation with myself.

Cool, glad you find it useful. I also found that it did make you think more about things you're doing in your life, and focus on what choices you're making.

The developers of the software are also on the forums, so if you have any questions or suggestions for them, they'd be happy to respond and are open to feedback.

Great offer, Doc!!

Is there any possibility the offer can be extended for those of us on SSDI or any other monthly benefit? If not, we understand!!

Thanks for the great opportunity!

Doc,
I tried to use the code in the advertisement, but it did not discount the price at all. It was still listed that it was going to charge me 29.95. Is there a step I am missing? Where am I supposed to put the code in. I put it in where it said discount code but nothing changed on the page that it billed me on. Can someone give me some direction.
Thanks.

Look at the sales banner at the top of this page. It says "OptimismSoftware" 50% discount. Discount code: *****

You'll get the program for $14.97.

I've always used a mood chart, but this is much more detailed. It looks like a good tool.

Hi Googley,

I've tested it myself and it seems to work fine. Make sure that before you click "Add to Cart" that you enter the quantity. If it still doesn't work I suggest you let me know through the Contact Us page and we can work out what's going wrong.

Regards,

James

If you're on SSDI and would like a copy of the software, please contact me privately in PM for more information. Thanks,

For those who might be lost like I was , doing page refreshes hoping the right banner add would show up at the top of the page . reloging in and out. etc, (lol) and STILL No banner Add.

You have to click on the "LINK " in Doc John's "FIRST" post in this thread. THEN you will see the banner .

FYI...
if you password protect write it down, I had to change mine...
I'm claiming a senior moment for forgetting mine

James, thank you for this "diary."
It's a wonderful addition to my journaling. Perhaps between the two, I'll go steps forward and one back instead of the other way around.

I just realized after I purchased it (with that great coupon code) how customizable it is with regards to symptoms, triggers etc. This feature makes me even happier with the software. I did not realize you can password protect it ..how is this done ?
