I have been wanting to create a mental health blog for ages but just hav'nt been able to get motivated (especially lately). I've had it all sorted out in my mind for a long time now, I already had tons of content and other goodies and today, I finally did it!. It only took a few cups of coffee and an entire day (I had to temporarily go off my no-caffeine diet but I did it).

Not to toot my own horn but so far I think it looks pretty good and there is a lot of content with much more on the way. I have promotion and everything figured out - it's just going to take time and lots of perserverance. Of couse I can't post the URL here because that would be kind of rude considering that this site is "related" but I still wanted to share. I'm just finding it very therapuetic after a month and a half of sitting here looking up killer diseases...ahhh!!:-)

GG, that is fantastic, I'm so happy for you. One of the best feelings in the world is the feeling of accomplishment, especially when it helps others. I, for one, would very much like to visit it, would you mind PMing me (if that's allowed). It sounds like you've put a lot of thought and heart into this endeavor, I take my hat off to you buddy for making something happen that gives you a sense of self-worth and reaching out to others. TgrsPurr.

Grey Goose -- This is an amazing accomplishment. Do you understand that? You can get dozens of posts saying that "we're proud of you" but the really important thing is that YOU salute yourself and be proud of yourself and understand how phenomenol what you did is.

Often, when people are low we are told to take pride because we . . . took a shower . . . left the house and sat on the front steps . . . worked for a few minutes or an hour.

You spent a whole day doing something wonderful and have a wonderful accomplishment to show for it.

I hope your head is getting too big to fit through the door with self-pride.

GOOD FOR YOU!!!

I think the url for your blog is acceptable posting. IF this is incorrect, I want a mod or DocJohn to post the guideline that says not, as I can't find it. If it's another website in general, maybe not, but a blog? I thought that was encouraged?

Wow thank's for all the congrats!!:-).

Well, my blog is basically a compilation/aggregation of various medical malodies and mental health issues I've had over the years. Some of the information there is pretty frank so if anyone has virgin ears, it might not go over so well. Of couse, there is nothing vulgar or crude about it...I just mean that if your offended by certain anatomical descriptions or medical terms, you might be offended. I mean, if you freak out and climb the walls when you see the word "penis" or somthing, it might not be for you. It's still far from finished and I need to "candy-coat" it and make it politically correct for public use so that noone will be offended.

I just added my new blog to my profile. It's very crude and unpolished (ie; some stories not even finished, not all of it involves emotional issues, etc). Please be gentle on me:-)

Yikes, I sure hope I did'nt scare anyone away. It's getting awfully quiet in this thread...lol. Yes, my current blog is a bit "shocking and amazing" and not for the tomid but only because I hav'nt had the opportunity to go in and re-write the original articles so that they are a bit more refined (ie; polite society material). Right now it's more like a rough draft. Anyway, I hope I did'nt offend anyone. It's more of a chronology of my last 3 years and a place I can refer back to than it is a big health resource site or anything:-).
