Well I had my first big craving tonight. My friend and I hit a meeting and it was good and I had a good day and felt great, he came back home with me and brought sandwich stuff and we were having dinner when I got call from my supervisor about scheduling issues for tomorrow and I totally paniced. I had to lie and say I had a 5:30 "appointment" instead of a meeting, which is an appointment of sorts too, but she doesn't know what I'm doing. Anyway, it all worked out, but I got an insane craving for a beer. Luckily my friend was here and I have no beer in the house, but it was still pretty bad. It only lasted about 10 minutes though, so now I've experienced one and know to down a bunch of diet cherry vanilla dr pepper and use the phone tree if I'm alone. So...still sober and doing pretty good except for that one experience today. Thanks for all the support everyone!!! I hope to get back to reading and replying soon.

Love you all!!!

Rayna

Good for you! This is a proud moment for you!

One of my sponsors gave me this thought, that really helped me and stuck with me:

Don't make these thoughts more important than they are. A zillion thoughts flow through our minds everyday. As you wrote, it passed in 10 seconds.

People come to meetings, and we talk about how bad a craving was. Her philosophy was -- let it go. It's just one more thought in an ocean of thoughts ebbing and flowing through our minds.

You should be proud that you got through it!
