Sorry... we lost some data!

Hi folks,

Recently we moved to a different server configuration, and moved the forums to their own server so they wouldn't be affected by our work on our main server. Unfortunately, though, it appears that last night we lost our main hard drive on this server, which also meant we lost the data on it.

Our last backup was from the previous week, unfortunately. So that's why you'll notice that the forums are sport "old" dates, and you'll be missing PMs and posts you made or read since that last backup was made.

I sincerely apologize for this incident. We're looking into it further to try and ensure it doesn't happen in the future, and also making sure we have more current backups available. Again, my sincerest apologies.

Phew!! When I logged on and all the dates were from the last of April... I thought It was me... I ran to the calendar... I felt confused!! Did I create this whole past week in my head? and it's still April!?!

That's too bad though, I finally just got the nerve to post a poem yesterday..... oh well, have to work up that nerve again.

Thanks for letting us know...at least I don't feel as crazy as I did a few minutes ago!!

Man, that cracks me up. I knew something was wrong when I saw all these unread posts from April that weren't there when I was here last night but it didn't occur to me to check the General forum first to see what was up. Doh!

Wow. 121 posts of mine, to be exact! LOL and there's NO WAY I can recreate what I said! (That might be a good thing.)

Sure gonna affect a couple other members who are really working on building their count number lol

Well, Doc, I guess this thread answers some of my questions I just pm'd to you. I only wish it sounded like better news than it seems. I expect more of the same? yes?

DocJOhn, I worked 13-1/2 hours yesterday and I thought that was causing me to not understand the dates! Sure am glad the brain isn't totally fried!!

I'm very, very sorry for this. I'll be doing things this week to make sure it doesn't happen again. Until Monday, though, the server's going to be a little slow again temporarily. Once I get things reconfigured on Monday, it'll be back to the way it was.

Trust me to think that the reason why I could not logon was that I had been kicked out. LOL Its so fun to have something to laugh about, even better when I can laugh at my own foibles!

I'm going through an identity crisis. My new name is gone. Tried to resubmit it but says I already have.

If everything went back a week ago, does that mean all the bad stuff that happened didn't really happen and I'm not at the bottom of the pit afterall? Somebody please tell my mind that's true please, cuz I don't feel any different, except now I don't even know who I am.

i'm sure you'll be able to get your new name working. i wouldn't give up on it.

But did all the bad stuff still happen that sent me plummeting to the bottom of the pit? Oh, how I wish that could be true. I still feel the same, in fact, today I feel worse, I feel so sick. I'd like to erase last week like it didn't even happen as easy as the board did.
