I love horses--or just about any animal. It is very beautiful! I used to live on a horse farm once. I rented an apartment at a place that was evidently owned by the same family that owned the Arlington Racetrack! My kids miss me living there because I used to take them visiting the horses sometimes. One of them would always check pockets for treats, LOL. I guess that one's owner always had something available in their pockets. I do kind of miss not living there anymore. I did love petting the horses as much as my kids. Heck, I am a big kid. Hay (no pun intended) neri,

That is one beautiful horse, but before you decide that you could make your money back (unless you get it for $300....lol),,,,got news for you..it isn't that easy....been there, done that with my trainer.

She bought a georgous Selle Francais stallion ($45,000) & I put a big chunck toward that (buying about 10 breedings from him). She & I thought we would get our money back also, but never had enough money to promote him...PROMOTION is the secret in being able to get your money out of your stallion (to sell breedings).

I also was stupid when purchasing my mare (which was also supposed to be a selle francais)...she wasn't & the jerk rancher got away with it since it cost me too much in legal fees to go after him..found that out after putting $5,000 into legal fees. The horse business is not that easy. The view of horse theives & shrewd dealers is actually true.

I got 4 breedings out of him & one I traded for breeding rights with a mare before I bought my own. It has also been rough because I have lost 3 babies out of my mare before I finally ended up with my live filly last Sept. It was about time I had a live baby from her, so she was properly named "Itssabout time" otherwise known as Issabelle (Izzy). She is the one I have pictures of on the photo forum here. I decided that I might as well not breed anymore & used the rest of the money to help out with the board bill instead of anymore breedings. I may have one more on the way...TBD when the vet comes out in a couple of weeks. I have sold one & have 1 more in training for sale. Izzy is going to be my replacement horse for my older (27 yrs) gelding, & hopefully the one on the way. With the vet bills & everything involved with breeding, it costs more that just breeding to a great stallion.

I noticed you have a new foal too...we should exchange chuckles & experiences some time...Yours looks soooooo cute.

Having my filly is the only thing that has kept me going through everything that has happened this last year...one foot in reality that needs my love & care. In that she is more valuable than anything I could ever have in my life.

One day, you will probably be buying a horse like you are dreaming about now....because dreams we have now may turn into reality someday.

Enjoy,
Debbie

Neri, those horses are beautiful... especially the stallion in the first link. I wouldn't mind buying him myself, lol!

U can just put ads in the internet. That's how everyone else does it. Andalusian would be wanted here, there aren't many, and they are generally used to inprove other horse breeds. But no, I would still not buy it, since i don't happen to have 30 000 dollars in my back pocket This is the horse i want

Neri, the first link you put up - he's absolutely gorgeous.

You've got me convinced to dish out the money to take the kids riding this summer. Every time you write about your rides with Windy, it makes me nostalgic for when I was a girl and went on them with my dad and his riding club. (my daughter signed up for a 3-hour riding activity through school this year. One day at the end of the school year they get to have 3 hours of activities of their choosing. I'm hoping she doesn't get bit with the horse bug too bad. I can't afford to feed the habit. This is the horse i want )

Your horse tales sure make me wish I could though. This is the horse i want This is the horse i want

Oh blind me... No the foal isn't mine (neither of them), the filly is my dad's. Part of it is. They have a group of i think 16 people and they own the mare (and now the filly) together. July was a race horse but didn't have the mind of a winner if u know what i mean. So now they have big hopes for the little girl, since the father is who he is This is the horse i want

And the other foal is Halden Dynasty's baby boy, and my little Windy is the father This is the horse i want he was born in june last year. So it's been a while for Windy This is the horse i want

I'm sure I will never have a 30 000 dollar horse, but I bet I will buy maybe like a holsteiner or something, just a normal horse (as in, not some great grand prix horse This is the horse i want ), not that I'm at all unhappy with my lil stallion, but so I could do more than just trail ride This is the horse i want U can get normal horses pretty cheap. Some people bring horses for example Estonia, like now there was a mare and a gelding together only 4500€. It'd be safer to buy from Finland though.

Anyways..I'm sure the horse business there has much more shrewdness This is the horse i want I've only heard few stories here in Finland, and I think those people really had it coming too....

I was thinking, that either when my dad manages to find that house or a farm somewhere... or when my brother graduates and gets rich This is the horse i want ...then I would maybe get another horse half with my sister, since she would probably not ride so much, and it would help me too, that there would be someone else to look after the horse also. And of course my brother's girlfriend wants a horse too, so there we'd already have a little stable of our own This is the horse i want ..maybe a lil pony for sister's son too This is the horse i want
