Angie, don't we already have a "rumpus room" in the "Plants, Pets," etc forum?

I know this has been mentioned before, but how about a teen forum just for teens. To express themselves. I'm not saying that us "older" ppl can not reply but I was thinking that maybe, maybe a teen forum would be good. Just a thought.

Other then that, I think PC is run pretty well. I think the rules are pretty self explanitory. I like it here. I love the ppl and I love that I have a place to turn for support. I agree -- sometimes the teen vs adult difference is kind of hard to overcome on both sides

I, too, agree with LMo and jmo... there is a generation gap, for lack of a better word. To be told by someone barely over half your age that "things like that happen all the time"? Come on now! It just torques me off, I guess. They have issues that are unique to their age bracket. We "adults"(I'm the goofygirl... hence the quotation marks!)have our own. I feel quite awkward having them in chat sometimes, as well. I'm not saying that they are all bad...don't get me wrong... just that they have different needs, and they are inplaces that I escaped, and I really don't want to relive, but I'm forced to in reading through posts!

Septmorn, when I say rumpus room I mean a place that we can post without fear of offending anyone, talking about things that could trigger folks if they saw it elsewhere

Goofygirl...You are so on target. I feel uncomfortable too when I realize that I'm "baring my adult soul" to a kid. I truly don't want to share the problems of my age group with someone who is not equipped to hear them. Thanks for the post....grace Suggestions for Change Suggestions for Change Suggestions for Change

If teens want a separate forum, that sounds fine by me....BUT I hope they won't feel that they can't keep posting everywhere here. Lots of the teens I've met here don't feel like they have a caring adult in their lives. I know I didn't! But, they can find that here.

Would the teens want no adults in their forum? Or would adults who want to listen and learn be welcome there? It might be good for parents to learn what teens worry about these days.

the two young ladies that i've developed a close relationship are very mature..neither has an adult to listen to him. that's what i do, here..... i'd like to see the forum, if they want it. i'd still want them to feel welcome here, in general and other threads........

The concept of a rumpus room makes me nervous....but I guess I could just stay away. It seems like currently in forums there is so much strife and many personal attacks. And we HAVE guidelines and lots of moderators here. I do wonder what sort of atmosphere the rumpus room could have? I simply can't predict. If Doc decides to do this, he oughta make Sqrlb8 a mod there since I suspect that he has a knack with calming savage beasts! Suggestions for Change

YES! We need more in chat... like there is no shocked face? What's that all about? I'd also like to see all the smilies in chat be big when you type them, like the ones you click on. I'm a fast typer, but it still takes too long to go to the choices.

The "wink" in chat looks so EVIL, too! If I remember right, that's not the only one that looks evil.

The "tongue" smilie here on the board should have a grin on it, too, like the one in chat.

AS A MATTER OF FACT!!!... ALL the smilies should be the same both in chat and on the board.

Oh, and the blushing smilie, I'd like to see one with a smile on it's face. That's how I blush. I giggle when I get embarassed. Anyone else? hehe

Don't know if anything can be done about this, but I sure wish people would be more particular about where they post. Everything seems to wind up in General when most of the time there is a forum for different subjects or needed help. Sometimes, something triggering appears in General when it would be better served in its own category. ggggrrrrrr (Sky! "Second this emotion," please! )

DANG! I wasn't done and it posted! LOL Did I do thaaaayut??

That brings up another complaint I have. The smilies cease to work when you go back to edit a post. wwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Ok... I think I'm done now...

Im not sky, but I will second this one for you ...

I am with you on that one..

well is that not what General is for??

But sometimes I do think some of the things that are in General should be put in other places so yes I suppose some things could be put in other fourms....

Personal I think we all could do with some more emotions (smilies) to show how we feel like.... ashamed, disapointed, excited, furious, thinking, depressed, confused, happy, sad, missed, clever, shocked, embrassed, love, lust, hurt, conclusion, panicing, worried, scared, trusting, respectful, bliss, annoyed, grin, laugh, angry etc.... then maybe more smiles like quick words thank you, blah blah, help, sorry, Miss you, lol, bump etc.... Some new smilies good just brighten up the whole forum. Don't you think so?

LOL Don't vote for something you're not sure of, Hun. Suggestions for Change I'll love you anyway. Suggestions for Change Like... isn't there something triggering in General right now? That's what I was talking about. There's also so much that could go in "Relationships." Aahh... I don't know... Sky and I seem to be bugged by the lack of order and "proper filing." I'll let her speak for herself on that. Suggestions for Change

yeppers you are right..

We need something on the fourm that shows how many fourms we have so that others now there is a right place to post things, maybe an index of some sort?? and a breif bio of what should be post in General, CC conrer ect... I know the FAQ might have somthing like this, but maybe put something up on the opening page so all new members get this or send it in a email I do not know..

We have so muc in General that I do not think should be in general I know it is for all "verserd" topics, but some things should be in a differnt fourm all toegther?????

How about the courtroom forum dicussioning things that have or is happening and planning what to do about them. Sorry although I'm young I tend to watch stuff on tv like Law and order the series 24. A courtroom could help by sorting out a problem there. Maybe?

Along that order, how about a forum for legal matters like applying for disability, getting custody of kids, visitation, divorce, immancipation, collecting insurance, etc?
