Sorry you're feeling down (((Coko))). I can't give an educated answer to your question about what came 1st. When I was a child I was painfully shy and struggled with speaking in front of the class. When it was my turn to read aloud I had panic attacks. I would sweat, breath fast and my heart would pound. I had no idea what was wrong and never told anyone - I suffered alone and scared. As i matured I learned to manage my shyness and became more confident but there are still shy roots within me. I wish I told someone or I wish my mother would have recognised I needed help. I'm glad the panic attacks didn't last long for me.

Luckily medicine has come a long way in understanding psychological issues and there's better treatment available. One tip I can give you is, try to relax and accept the attack when it comes. Don't try to resist and run away from it. Breath slowly and recognize it's there but don't try to stop it. Remember it won't hurt you, so you don't need to fear it. Eventually you want to get to a place, where you challenge your fears and slowly desensitize yourself. I hope you feel better.

In the meantime I just want to say I hear your frustration and please don't feel discouraged.

you can contact your doctors, therapists and psychiatrists/psychologists and get a copy of your medical and mental health records they will tell you which of the problems you were diagnosed with first. from there it can be a good starting point for discussing with all of them which of your problems came first in your life and history.
