My handwriting is good depending on who it is writing. I have the little girl who scribbles through, the teen girl who wants to make her english teacher happy, the woman who insists on writing neatly and will throw 20 pages away if the writing isn't neat enough and the impatient woman who will write quickly and most unattractively which really p*sses of the woman who insists on throwing away 20 pages if she doesn't think it's neat enough...

Got bashed by a teacher in 2nd grade for not writing neatly enough...apparently she had a breakdown and I copped it...old *

what an interesting question, Moreta, i'm so glad you brought it up,,, look at how many of us are experiencing the same thing~! i'm sure personally that the more disorganized the brain is, the worse it coordinates eye/hand activities... it is nice to have a good excuse,,, and a signature than no one can copy,, ,, best wishes,, Gus

When I was in 9th grade, my hand writing was all print, then when I started to decline mentally it turned into a combination of cursive and print. I think hand writing definitely has a basis in mental health and mindset.

I just saw this thread and have to say, that ive noticed this in myself, too. In fact, I went to a class on MI, and in big block letters she put "handwriting changes" on the whiteboard.

My handwriting is usually consistant. I write in big twirly loopy letters. I circle the i's, occasionally i'll put a star on top of an 'i', or maybe a heart.

When i'm angry it becomes harsh and erratic and i make spelling mistakes alot.

I was taught italic handwriting at school, and tend to write cursive. I spent a lot of time writing and practising as a child, copying poems, or writing from memory, and trying to make my handwriting as pretty and legible as possible. My handwriting's still pretty, but when I'm manic it's tiny, and leans more to the left, and often words run into each other... even my full stops and brackets are linked to the previous letter. The cross of my tees is a fairly dramatic backward swoop then dash forward, and there are a few more loops than entirely necessary in my gees and effs.

When I'm very depressed my writing tends to turn blocky, and larger, and is more likely to contain print.

Now, I'm sure that the letter names I've given here look rather silly... but you want to see them written down!
