I'm starting to say things and do things maybe I shouldn't do. They're not real bad things, just unwise. I forwarded a kind of not so good email to a friend. I said some things to kids at work which wasn't really quite appropriate.

I'm thinking maybe I have too much time on my hands. I've never been one for old cliches, but one is standing out in my mind: An idle mind is the devil's playground. I never thought much of that saying actually - I even actively disliked it. But maybe I do just need more to do. I am reading a lot, but maybe that's not enough. I'm scared I'm acting without thinking. Help.

Interesting problem. You must have hobbies, what are they? Perhaps you could focus on them for a bit.

cm, i thought that i answered you last night. i guess the post gremlin ate my note.

we all have times when we wish we could take something back, that we've done or said. that's normal.

do you have a T? or a close friend that you can talk to? perhaps a hobby? exercise? let us know how you're doing. xoxox pat

My hobbies are reading and playing the piano. Unfortunately, most of my music is at my mother's house. She is trying to help me by using her place as storage. (that's another story). When I have a break at work, I can read or play the piano in my studio. I just haven't counted on having breaks lately so I came unprepared. I also like to cook. And, of course, get on the computer.

One of my Communication Skills teachers once taught us all a very valuable lesson in life, which has stuck in my mind for years, oh, so very well -- mainly, b/c I, myself have violated the rule, oh so many times. Anger; whether it's in posting in any forum or in Chat Room or verbally in Life; anger... you must always think, breathe deeply & re-read what you have written/before you speak.....b/c once you hit that "Send" or "O.k, Submit" button in anger/ or once it lifts off your lips....there's no going back!

What is sent in just a slight moment of anger has caused a friendship of years to collapse w/i a matter a seconds/minutes............I've learned the hard way many times.

Chew on that, I do all the time, w/ great regret I think I'm causing trouble I think I'm causing trouble

I checked it out with a couple of people and, it turns out, what I say and do have no real consequence. Nobody was upset or could remember anything. Good to know....I guess.
