News on Bebop~

I just talked to Bebops husband and she is doing good. She is in and out of things right now . They just got her to a room. They got in there and the stone was soft. so they only got part of it because the kidney started bleeding. So this will mean a second surgery to get the two other parts out of there. This will be a couple weeks down the road here. The wires that they have in her bladder to her kidney the doctor said were long .. so he shortened them up so she wouldnt have so much pain and spasms. But they are still in there for the next surgery.

She is also going to have to modify her diet . NO MORE COLA's B!!!!!!!! I got your hubbies word on it that he is going to make sure you stick to this too hon! AND you better believe I am gonna be on your case too! LOL. She can have all the water she wants!!! YAY WATER! lol.

They think she will just be in overnight here and back home tomorrow. I will be giving her a call tomorrow afternoon. And will post any news I can then.

Wires in bladder, ouch!! I had cystoscopes,biopsies, and other tests for bladder cancer years ago, and the wires are so painful, so I feel for you, Bebop, and I am wishing you well.

Hello All~

I got to talk to Bebops husband again tonight. And a friedn this afternoon. She didnt make it home yet. Hopefully tomorrow. She had a different doc come in today and took that dang wire out . He wondered why it was still in there in the first place!!! Different opinions in Doctors ! Geesh!Her husband said that her color looked better today .. so that is great news. They were supposed to get her up and start walking her last night I think he said, but that didnt happen. Thats about all the news he had. I think she is afraid to talk to me cause she cant laugh lol. Sorry B!!!!!!!!! I will be sending that card out tomorrow ... so if any of you who didnt see my messge about sending the card wants me to put your name in there and /or a message let me know thru a pm ! Thanks!

I am sitting here now crying! you guys are the greatest! Bethy those calls meant so much to me since most of my family didn't even bother to pick up the phone. actually when you called I think I was out of it. I am bruised big time bad on my arms. due to all the pain meds I was on over the weekend from that wire in my bladder I was dehydrated something terrible so when they went to put in iv's they blew the veins. I am still really sore but doing ok...still have my cath bag in my back....just wish I could take me a shower!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yuck thanks again guys..I love you all

I am so glad to hear you got through this procedure ok.....don't know what I would do without a shower either. I can relate to those dang IV's that blow the veins from dehydration. The bruses take some time to go away, making us look like we have been beaten up....sometimes we feel like it too...lol

I talked to Miss P tonight She sounded soooo much better and it really great spirits too! Even heard her laugh a few times!!!!!!! YAY B!!!!!!!! But I tell ya ... when the girl gets called to supper ........she wants to go!!!!!!! LOL. Thats alright though Miss P... your entitled ! It was great to talk to you again!

You can buy wonderful body wash at the drug store that you don't even have to rinse off. It makes you feel so nice and clean and makes your skin soft. You can buy shampoo like that, too. You'll feel so much better.

I've missed you terribly and I'm so happy you're able to type. Don't overdo it, ok?

Jan really? I know they use to have that powder stuff for your hair...I bent over in the bathtub tonight to wash my hair but it didn't make my back feel so good...I missed you too. glad to be back

Sorry to hear one of your bruises is bothering you.....I had that happen last week in the ER when I was being treated for dehydration. They blew the vein....& it got hot & swollen....then to top it off, I got my keys locked in my car with the window open only a crack....about 2 1/2 inches. I ended up squeezing my are through & reaching down to unlock it....then I got stuck while I tried to manuver in other around to the handle for the window....wouldn't you know it....it was the same are that they blew the vein the night before. That only added to the pain & more bruising.

When I got home, I found my ice pack....with a wet washcloth wrapped around my arm & the ice pack on top of that for hours & hours. It felt so good & actually helped take down the swelling. The ice was an experiment...& it worked for me. You may want to try the ice thing....even if it doesn't help.....it feels soooooo good on the bruises.
