I've had migrains for long time. Finally been getting treated. They started to give me a preventative. I'm not up to full dose yet. So on the abortative I still use too much and they want to send me to a neurologist to see why I have so many migrains. Anybody else go see one? I don't really want to go. Makes me kinda well scared actually(plus I can't pay a high end doctor even with insurance). This all actually started cuz I couldn't refill a prescription and found out I had to wait another week. But don't have the med for another week. I can't help how often I get them. Thinking maybe just suffer and lie so don't have to go to neurologist. I really hate this sometimes.

Sorry you are in a tight spot.
I have a friend with serious migraines and it was only by seeing a neurologist that she was able to get relief. I had a few migraines from the age 40 to 49, now they are rare, I still avoid missing lunch which was a biggest trigger. ![]() |

My mom does, and I don't think she's wild about it either. She is very sensitive to the side effects of the migrain medicines, but my niece has a lot of help from them. HUGGS
