Dave~Its not been a good day. as you can probably imagine.YOur words have oomforted me so much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Heidi Sue is doing everything she can to lift our spirits around here. She goes around trying to get frisky with her toys. And I mean FRISKY lol. She's weird like her dad lol. But she has been giving me lots of icky lickies as I am the only person who will allow her to do this lol. BLess her little heart. She is trying so hard. She saw where we put Jorgie and everything. So I hope in her own way as much as it does for humans, it gives her some closure too. Sorry if I am sounding crazy here talking this way but I really believe pets go thru this process too as does my vet.

Thank you for everything ...I can never tell you enough how much it means to me.

Hugz~

Thanks Jan, I know. Its hard to believe . Its like I sat around here most of the day today and just stared into space. Didnt know what to think , do because Bubby wasnt here jumping on me wanting petted and loved . The house seems so silent now without his meows. And hearing his iittle bell ring on his collar. Silly me , sometimes I carry it with me in my pant pocket so I can hear it ring a bit. stupid Iknow. And everytime I sit down here at the computer.. I keep expecting him to jump up here to give me one of my eskimo kisses and walk across the keyboard to try to type something in lol. The little fart did that so many times and you couldnt believe how many times I've had to delete stuff lol.

I sat up most of the night last night looking at pictures I took of him. And I decided I am going to make a scrapbook up of him. I started looking for poems already. I wish so badly I could get my creative juices going and think a poem up myself for him. He just deserves something really good ya know?

I miss him so much.

Hugz~

I cant believe its been almost a week since he's been gone. I went out to get the mail and my vets office sent a sympathy card to us. The girls that work out there and the three doctors all signed it. I just thought this was so thoughtful of them . I miss my little bubby so much. Jorgie~ Just wish he could have been with us longer . We never have our pets long enough do we?

>>We never have our pets long enough do we?

Never. But that's part of the "deal" since most animals we take in as pets have considerably shorter life spans than humans. It seems the ones we get attached to the most are the ones that can span significant portions of our lives... they are around longer than husbands, jobs, homes, etc... but they can't be with us forever.

But we get so so so much out of them that for many it is worth the period of hurt for all of the joy and comfort and fun (and even the occasional frustration and anger) that they add to our lives.

Ohhh definitely it was worth all the comfort and joy and fun he brought into our lives. I would not have had it any other way than to have brought him into our home and cared for him these last 16 months. He was my first cat ever that I had in my home. And in time ... even though I am allergic to cats... I hope not the last. I so enjoyed having a cat and dog here. They were absolutely comical together! One bein spayed and the other neutered. One didnt know from the other what they were and man did they ever hit it off lol!!Now you can see how "NUIZ" we had it around here with them! lol. They get it from their dads family not mine lol !!!! Huhby and I would sit there in disbelief. We were speechless. LOL. Jorgie~ Jorgie~ Jorgie~

Hi Bethy,

I just finished reading this thread and so sorry to hear about Jorgie.
It's strange how they become our little children, huh. I have had to go through this twice and it was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through.
It's been a little over ten years since the last time and we still find ourselves talking about them all the time. Their footprints cross our lives, never to be the same again.
My heart goes out to you.
Love,
Linda
