I wish that I could have helped babygirl get through the darkness. So often, I find myself inside that cold, dark and damp basement which I so desperately want to escape. Yet, for whatever reason, I keep fighting that hard fight.

I hope that babygirl has gotten some relief from the darkness that followed. Babygirl ~ you are in my thoughts. I hope that your misery has ended. I am sorry that I couldn't help you get through your pain. Although I know that you didn't want to leave others in misery behind you, I feel SO sad. I wish that you could have felt the love and hope that so many people had for you.

You will not be forgotten babygirl.

I am both deeply pained and moved by the news of your death and the response from your friends here at PC. I know nothing of death, but I sincerely hope that you found the peace and the escape that you longed for. Know that you were loved and rest well, friend.

Although I didn't know babygirl2201028, from what I see I can tell that she was a loved member of psychcentral. My blessings and prayers are with her friends, family, loved ones and everyone else that she touched and left an imprint on.

She truly had the most gentle heart and caring spirit...I wish she would have known how much she touched so many with her caring ways! Erica - the world is a darker place without your light!

OMG, just thought I would do some research on this user and I am so shocked so very sorry, all this has bought tears to me, I am so sorry she had felt like this, I only talked to her once in chat, she was really lovely, I hoped to get to know her, I am sorry she felt like this and she had no other option OMG I am in tears, rest in peace hun, I know I'm late but I am just so shicked to a extent I'm in tears, I am sorry she must of meant a lot to people on here Sending big hugs to her,

I sadly didn't know her but I hope she is now at peace! My heart goes out to her family, friends and people in her life who will miss her so much xxx

I was away for more than a week and just back today and heard of this tragic loss. I am truly saddened by the loss of my friend. My prayers are going out to her family that they will be able to find the support and love they need in this time of loss.

This is still weighing heavily on my mind! I hope that all who are still questioning and grieving are receiving the support they need. Erica - I am thinking of you again today. I don't have any other words except to say, I'm sorry you couldn't find the peace you needed on earth and truly hope you are in a better place.

Just like DocJohn, I really didn't know babygirl. I know many of you reached out and tried your very, very best to help her. But, as much as we all might wish we could control what another person does - we can't. It is not your fault. It is not anyone's fault. It just is what it is.

I know that many of my friends here are still hurting badly. I wish I could do something to help all of you feel better, but I know it isnt under my control. So, I will send caring hugs and love to all of you.

Take time to grieve. And then make time to help others find a light to keep trying to overcome the demons.

I didn't know this woman, but feel very sad hearing the news.

It's pretty sobering stuff when a forum member dies, for some reason I seem to think of you guys as constant, probably cos I don't see you get injured or hurt. This is another reminder that we're all vulnerable to life's realities.

OMG. This has shocked me, I never knew her, but just reading through this and how much she meant to people has shocked me, I am so sorry she had felt as though she had to do this. RIP Hunni

They say we shouldn't grieve a soul set free. I have felt so sad at times in my life that I truly couldn't think of anyway to feel peace. I did not know Erica but I don't know but what I may have experienced a certain degree of her pain. It sounds like she fought so valiantly against the bottomless depth of her unhappiness but the time comes when a gentle spirit becomes totally exhausted, when battling feelings so intense and so debilitating become no longer bearable.

My family was touched by suicide many years ago and so many lives were changed forever. I pray that Erica's family will be O.K., that somehow they'll find a way to understand and accept what seems unbelievable right now and go on to live their lives normally. I, personally, believe that depression can be so severe that a person loses touch with reality, that finding a source of quiet peace becomes the only thing they can think about.

Looking at this post, makes me fall to tears Why BabyGirl, why did you have to do this, always in my hopes and prayers, thinking about you everyday

Just found this, this makes me so sad......I am so sorry! But the thing that touches me here is that she touched the lives of so many here and that at least there was a way to get the news to people here so no one was left wondering why she wasn't here anymore - she can be mourned because people know what happened......
