I'm off to Hawaii for a few days with my husband, to celebrate our 1 year anniversary this weekend! I'll be back on Tuesday!

Thanks everyone!!!!! Heh heh Petunia! One pineapple for Amy coming up! Gem - it's only a 5 hour flight from Portland, and direct at that. Much different than when I lived on the east coast and it would take 13 hours and two different planes. Portland is far from everywhere else, but close to Hawaii and Alaska so might as well take advantage of it. We're just going to Oahu - never spent any time there and the tickets were only $300 each. I found an inexpensive vacation rental on Craigslist so this whole trip will be dirt cheap. It's on the North Shore and is beachside! Yippee!!!!
Will take pictures, I promise. I bought a waterproof camera case for my digital camera so hopefully will get some good diving and/or snorkeling shots! Yay!

I'm back!
GREAT vacation! I had really low expectations of Oahu based on the one night I had stayed there en route to another island a few years ago, but our trip ended up being fantastic! Perfect weather, excellent little surfer town (Haleiwa), did lots of fun things, and most of all, got along flawlessly! Our anniversary really could not have gotten any better, and I am really, really thankful for it! Actually, I guess I should thank my husband and our T... Anyway, we had dinner with my old T who now lives there, hiked, snorkled, sightseed (sightsaw?), scuba dived, swam, watched professional surfers on huuuuuuuge waves, went to a botanical garden, and my husband took a surfing lesson! Now if I can find my digital camera card reader someplace, I will post some pictures. I had bought a waterproof case for my digital camera, and have pictures from our dive, too! Missed you all, though! (and JMo, it bums me out that your avatar is still crying. I guess the positive vibes I sent you haven't found you yet).
