Maybe it was just your imagination. Are you anxious?

Just because things seem different or odd don't mean your not normal. I wouldn't freak out yet, I'd go seek a proffesional and ask them what their opinion is. It could be anything......it could be a strange sympton in your eye. You never know....I'd check it out before you get to upset. Please keep us updated and let us know how that goes.

Maze,
Early last year I was experiencing much of the same in what you are describing. Seeing shadows and often times I would awake in the middle of the night to very fuzzy vision. It would really freak me out. It all seemed like everything was moving in slow motion. I thought for sure that something terrible was wrong with me. That only fed my anxiety further. After some time, these symptoms dicipated after my anxiety lever was lower. I know that these were related directly to my anxiety as I no longer experience it, or definitly not as often. I would definitly mention it to your DR, however, I personally beleive it could be stress related (anxiety). I am no DR however so, seeing a DR is best. Huggles, Jen |

Maze,
YES!!! It is one of the most frustrating things. Anxiety is a "Vicious Circle". You are in a constant state of panic and fear that either, your going to die, your going insane or that your going to have another attack. It takes a while for the body and the mond to grasp that anxiety is this powerful and that it can change a persons entire lifestyle and outlook. When you can finally come to terms that anxiety takes on many shapes and forms you can begin to move on from it. Not move on where they disappear, but when you are able to implement coping stradegies (sp) and actually get to the point where you can talk yourself down. Please feel free to PM me anytime. I used to see things like this all the time. I asked my doctor about it and he said sometimes our eyes just play tricks on us. Like today I was riding on a van and I saw a branch of some dead weeds and thought it looked like an animal. Also it could be anxiety or something like that.

Hi Maze,
Do you by any chance have fibromyalgia? I have fibro and early onset glaucoma. You'd be amazed at what can happen to your eyes when you're tired or anxious when you have fibro! My best to you. Jan

I don't think progress can ever be really wiped out. You were able to change your thinking for a short time and that is something significant. You learned from it. Maybe it will make it that much easier for you make progress in the future.
