I am having a rough time right now. I have some health problems that are adding to my mental health problems. It seems like a vicious cycle that just as soon as one thing gets under control and I get better then bam something else goes wrong and I get sick and then the cycle begins again.

I talked with my counselor at Arkansas Rehab Services today about my schooling. I am going to drop out for the semester and go again in the fall. It kills me to do this but I think for now with all that is going on with the old patterns rearing their ugly head its best for me. I am struggling though trying to decide if this truly is the best thing and I'm just running. I called my T and am waiting to hear back from him but if I don't at least I'll have something to talk to him about tomorrow. I AM MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really wish you weren't suffering with this. I can understand being frustrated and mad when you need to talk and you have to wait for a return call.

Please take care of yourself.

Hang in there. I think that in the long run things will work out...it's just in the short term aspect of things that it seems all screwed up and like it won't work out.

Well my T just called. He told me don't do anything drastic like drop out of school just yet that we would talk about it tomorrow. I don't know what to do. I am one big confused ball of string.

janniebug,
I know what it feels like to want to give up on everything, but it sounds like you have a really good therapist there.
Maybe you won't feel so confused after you have seen your T and will be able to see more clearly what to do.

Hang on to your therapist, he/she sounds like a good one!

Know where you're at! Is this a full moon? Trying to make decision to return to work or not. So can fully appreciate your frustrations.

I care.....

Well it's to late now. I had a message on my machine when I got home tonight that I am officially withdrawn from school. I am scared about what my T is going to say. The school said that I needed a letter from a doctor saying I was withdrawing from school for medical reasons so that I could be reinstated in the fall. I do plan on going back so this isn't the end. I am scared about how tonight is going to go though...I am hoping my meds kick in quickly so I can go to bed either that or I will call the hotline for my clinic.

I know how you feel about the school thing. You are smart to withdraw officially. I kept dropping all my courses and wasting thousands of dollars. Right now I'm barely holding my head above water with my classes. I missed my midterms because I was too afraid to go.
