I work from home and I have done no work at all today. I didn't even go to gym. I have sat in front of my computer the whole day but not working. I feel flat and lethargic. I don't feel unhappy. Just bleah!
Guess it's going to be a really busy day tomorrow as I shall have to make up for not getting anything done today.

Hi Sabrina,

Maybe you'll have some energy this afternoon. Mornings can be just terrible!

Cheers!

Jan

Thanks January. That is so sweet. It is already evening for me and I guess I cannot say I did not do any work as supper is ready, I have helped my son with a project, I have fed the dogs. As far as my office work goes ...... well tomorrow is another day.

Thanks again. No work done

Man, Sabrina, can I relate. I work from home too and some days it's such a struggle to open up the work programs. I totally understand the "bleahs." Same dilema with taking one day off and then having to do twice the work the next day when I couldn't do ANY that day. Ugh!

Yep. Plod is just about how it feels some days. The kids have 2-1/2 days off this week and off on Monday. Yikes! I'm not looking forward to that at all.

Dear Sabrina,

I too get very little done during the mornings.... I usually wake up with so many random feelings in me that it takes most of my day to sort them out - I am better at night when other people are around.
If I may ask? - is there any thing in your own life that has gotten you down? Are you feeling any thing in particular over a certain situation or person?

((((((( HUGS ))))))) ~ ~ ((((((( KISSES )))))))

Can I ask what is it that you do at home, for I too am looking for some at home work....

I do medical transcription. I'm an indepedent contractor for a company in San Diego. They require you work at least two years in house somewhere before they'll hire you, and you have to have a year of training before you can get hired at a hospital or clinic.

Working from home is STRESSFUL! Sure, you don't have to commute and can work in your jammies, but the main office still expects a productive work day even though your cats are puking on the carpet and the kids are fighting and a house that needs cleaning is staring at you.

Not to mention that just about everyone thinks you don't have a "real job" because you work at home.

Maybe you'll get some more energy later on...I know for me I'm "blah" in the morning but in the afternoon and evening hours I'm good.

My blah lasted the whole of today. (It is after 9pm for me now). Yet, I am not unhappy. Must blah!

Thanks for all the responses. I have not felt so lonely!!

Wow, I really admire those of you who can work from home. I need to have all kinds of external structure imposed on me because I seem to lack it internally. Left to my own devices I wouldn't get a thing done.

Sabrina, you, Wi_fighter and I are all in the same exact boat. SAME THING. I hear ya ... and am definitely willing to band together to set goals. Wi_fighter and I do that occasionally... tell each other we'll meet online in one hour to report progress. I don't know about her, but it usually helps me immensely.

I have a digital timer that I don't use often enough, but I'll set it for one hour and see how much work I can produce.

I don't always manage to work straight through, but it does help keep me on track most of the time. I've gotten out of the habit of using it though. No work done

Jan whispers: "When all else fails, drink caffiene because it helps a lot. When the doesn't work, take a nap!"

It's so hard to coordinate things when you're home. I'm sure of it. But I have faith in all of you. I do!!!

Hugs,

Jan

Well, it's a new day and there is lots to do. After checking in here I"m off to the gym and then I will get stuck in. Or at least try to. I will report on any progress later.

Thanks for all the support.

Still haven't gone to gym. And not working in the sense of actually doing the stuff. What I am doing is sorting everything out of its current mess that I allowed it to get to and putting everything into clearly marked folders to tackle one by one.
That's progress right?

In two hours, I've managed to put in 90 minutes' worth of work, exercised for half an hour, and got some direct sunlight while playing with my new drum.

Now to keep up the momentum.
